Thursday, Oct 15 -workouts!

Getting chilly here in Michigan. The leaves are very colorful and beautiful!

I was able to get in 5 miles during DS's meeting with the Eagle Scout project counselor. Happy to hear things went well and my run was good too.

Early morning 2250m swim. Felt better than the last week but still slooooow, it's a labor just to swim 1:50-ish/100m. Baby steps to get back into a decent swim shape (of my own). 1-hr hard effort on the dirt road in mid-day. May attempt for triple (a short run or strength) after dropping DS at Martial arts. Will see.

Another short commute/long commute day for me (about 33 total). Was over-dressed yesterday, but definitely needed it all today (must have the same chill!)

Swimming? What's that? Maybe you should swim in yards, Yo ... it's faster

Lots of raking followed by sun salutations to stretch myself back out. Both kids are home with various illnesses, DH is also under the weather...I'm skipping town this weekend and praying I don't get sick!!

Nice 4 miles on a flat trail. Getting into that transition time of having to guess at clothing. Won't be long and it will be 'wear everything you have plus one layer'

checked in for race and checked out ironman village. Did a short swim and decided to go with booties for underwater hazards. Water temp was great! Also did a 30 min run with the group from the house. Felt good.
