Congrats Ron!

Another RIZO ride in the books - beautiful weather, great friends and no flats! lol 78 miles, two notches, and ~4500 ft of climbing...one tough but enjoyable ride. FINALLY managed to break 16 mph and finished in 4:51!

Sat: longish swim. 1.5 laps of stiles pond so 1.7 miles maybe
Sun: 110 on bike FIB 4 mile run. One of my slowest 100+ rides this training cycle but it was HILLY and on the flats I felt good. New bike fit working mostly. Right hip REALLY angry with me during ride and rest of night but not even a tiny bit during run or walking around. Go figure. Acupuncture this week again. Hoping it is just accumulated fatigue and will clear itself over taper.

today: DOR

Hi everyone! I haven't been around for a few months. Started a new position at the same company in July and it's been crazy. See some updates on FB. Miss everyone and will try to get back to posting.
Congrats Ronbo!

Doing X3 again. Accelerator cardio done today.

3300y at masters swim this morning.
First session with the bubble back up and the pool was HOT. Seriously, the water must have been at least 82 °F. When your near zero body fat lane mate who *always* feels the pool is too cold says the pool is too warm, the temp must be really high! Coach was generous with the time for intervals today, thank goodness. I seriously wanted to put ice cubes down my suit and under my swim cap (but squirted some water from my water bottle on me instead).

300 free, 100 no free
200 free, 100 fists
100 free, 100 kick on back

3x150 free on 2:45, 1st/2nd/3rd 50 breathe every 5
3x150 free on 2:45, 1st/2nd/3rd 50 fists
3x150 free on 2:45, 1st/2nd/3rd 50 overkick

5x through the following
125 free on 2:10, build
75 free on 1:30, smooth

50 back ez

Woohoooo zoj, way to go!
Welcome back Julie, we missed you! Congrats on the new position.
cak - your posts about swimming always motivate me to re-join the group workouts. (though it hasn't happened yet....)
MQ - definately accumulated fatigue. Seriously. That's what this long distance/endurance training is all about, right?! Then you gradually reduce the volume/intensity and fully soaking all the hardwork. You got this!!

3.5miles run with 1 mile walk at the end. Taking it easy. Because I didn't build whole a lot of base this time, even a short run of 3-4 miles take something out of me I am sure. 6 days to Maui Marathon. 3 days to leaving kids behind... yep time for cramming all kinds of to-do's.

Welcome back Julie! Congrats on the new job. I've been missing and sketchy with exercise for a while! Met with a podiatrist today, lots of stuff he wants to do. Another MRI, vitamin D test. He says we're going to treat the cause of the stress fracture, which is more a fracture, and not quite healed and slow to heal bc if the location. Identified the beginnings of bunions on both big toes, changing my foot fall (my words, not his, but he talked fast and I think this is accurate) and causing the fracture and likely the tendinitis in my other foot. Hoping this is the answer. Anyone have positive experiences with podiatrists? I've not been to one before. This guy was recommended bc of his interest/knowledge in sports related foot issues. And he is confident I can start training for Boston in April.

Def wouldn't be swimming most of these workouts if I were swimming solo!
