Sept 5-6 weekend - workouts!!

Happy Labour Day weekend! I should look up the origin of this holiday to properly appreciate it.

About 1hr on singletrack/double track, first half riding hard and second half to accompany DH who was running 30k in this humid day. He survived but unhappy how he suffered (plus 15min slower than last year). Saw many friends, great to catch up, esp Amy who ran 6k! Enjoyed some beer and burger.

Once came home, it was hard to get back on a saddle again....but eventually made it for a other 1.5hrs on a singletrack and some pavements (to pick up stuff).

Hope all are enjoying the long weekend!

Alicia - oh, too bad.. did she run 10k? Sounds like I missed quite a few, due to my lazy start (I usually go with DH and ride for a few hours and catch him for the last 30min or so)

Sat- I did my Friday swim, 1250 w/ 750 in sprints (5x100, 5x50). Back felt pretty good.
FIB 50 min run in 83 heat index and almost no wind, 79% humidity. That sucked. Body was ok, it was just really hot. Only good thing is it allowed me to practice heat protocols. Which I figure the more I do, the better. Especially with THIS Forecast (insert sarcasm):

68 high, 51 low winds 5-10

Alicia - I can't believe I missed you. We were hanging around for a long time after DH finished. More than x2to the burger line and x3 to beer line.

8mile run, it was hunid! Legs felt very heavy but the pace wasn't as slow as I thought I was going.

Nice ride, zoj and geo!!

43miles on my tri bike with DH. This is.. like 3rd ride this year? Totally dead tired toward the end. Still thinking to do one Tri this season but I might have run out of time....(plus do I really want to spend $80+ for a sprint race?! (No interest in suffering for close to, if not more, 3hrs for an Olympic)

2 weeks to the marathon. Time to start cutting down my workout hours. Let's hope I don't gain too much weight!!

Saturday: 75 mile ride FIB 4.54 mile run (45 min) with Martha
Sunday: Double swim at Stiles for 2+ miles and 3 hours run which turned out to be 16 miles, also with Martha. It was hot. Oh and there was some heat and it was hot. Last few miles were a slog for both of us. Finished far enough away from cars so we could walk and relax for a bit to cool down.
Monday: DOR neighborhood BBQ. I already forgot most of the names of people I met. Yikes!

Hi Ho to all and everyone is killing it out there.
