90min early morning dirt road ride, nice a bit chilly ride. Was planning to hit the singletrack with DH, but he decided to sleep in, so I went for a longer and a bit more relaxing ride.
Shopping break with DD during the lunch time.
Prob. run or walk during the DS's class.

Commute and 40 minutes ellipticating for me.

My legs are pretty spent as well ... think I'll take a commute DOR either tomorrow or Friday.

1 mile OWS which was FRACKING AWESOME.


Also, first try in my sleeveless Blueseventy Helix and I love it. I love love love love it.


Yosh - Walk thing. Basically for some dumb reason when walking more than 1/4 mile I suddenly cramp up in the right hip flexor. If I push it then the glutes and surrounding stuff and then the Psoas. To the point I cannot lift my leg nor can I bend over or squat.


WTF?

Ron - are you trying to stride too far when you are walking in an attempt to go faster? If I overstride by the smallest of margins my hip flexor is pissed.

It's entirely possible. I also think it may be that I reverted to the fatman walk perhaps? Where I lean back? That would take a normal stride and extend it.


Also suddenly I find myself sucking in my gut all the time and I think that is changing my pelvis position. It's weird, I'm not doing it ON PURPOSE, but I have lost enough weight AND have a strong enough core that suddenly it feels natural. But I just have this sneaking suspicion that it is f-cking my position up.


This all flared up on day 3 (after 30 miles walking) of scout camp - the week before ROTH. I thought it was overuse. I am not convinced.


I am going to see run coach again STAT and I am going to try to see PT too - attack from all sides. I have a run today... we'll see after that!

Ron - I have no idea on what's going on, but it seems your assessment of pelvis position changes seem to make sense. The area is so complicated and would affect everything around it. I know you are super committed to make your run better. Don't get discouraged (well, I don't think that word exists in your vocabulary). With your fabulous support system all around you, you will find ways to improve it. Keep at it!
