Thursday, June 4 - WORKOUTS!

Good morning, TEAM LIT!

Solid workouts yesterday around LIT Nation.

Me...

5 mile time trial trail run early this morning. Friends and I decided to race our standard 5 mile loop to see what we had. I had never raced the loop, though I have run it high tempo. Previous best time was 40:40. Today did it in 38:53. That's probably 8:00 pace. Which if you saw the trails you'd know it was healthy -- trails are highly technical, with some long climbs, and a few stretches to open it up but always trippables throughout.

Great day, friends!

The usual commute ... about 17 mph in. Body did not feel like cooperating with another cool morning! Same home for the usual 40+. Went for a short (<2) mile walk at lunch ... Remembered everything today as well.

Congrats on the CR, Thor

both workouts sound nice, I am once again trapped in another city (LA) for work. I am contemplating a long walk instead of lunch. I did have swims yesterday and the day before in the rapidly warming ocean

Finally getting over my cold enough to start running again. Met up with Tim and Rick and did 6 miles in about 45 min. Was winded at the end of that. Some tightness in the glutes and lower back, but not too bad.

Mike

ETA: Almost didn't make it out of bed. After the Wed night beer can sailing races we stayed to watch the Hawks take game 1 of the Stanley Cup. Go Hawks!

Went out for the usual 22 with Stacie. Flat at mile 12. Good Samaritan drove us home. Perhaps I should re-learn how to change a flat!

Youtube is your friend ....

Unless you're me, of course, and you manage to screw things up worse

Definitely a basic skill worth knowing though. If I can do it, you can too

Nice job LIT Nation ( I like that )

AM - go Hawks! Exciting stuff

Honestly felt beat up today from long weekend, hard ride Tuesday and long run yesterday. so moved my swim to tomorrow and did some core work today. Age-gotta respect the body I guess. My coach must think I'm 20.

Keep it going strong!

Early AM swim, only 2250m due to kids leaving home a bit later (no more choire practice). Realized that I had a meeting to go after the swim... So no lunch time workout. Then one thing after another... Managed to ride DD's bike to pick up her car from the dealer, for 30min. Boy heavy bike is tough to ride!

Time to work on a used tubeless wheel I got from our old friend here... Never dealt with tubeless setup - hopefully DH can figure out. Weekend is coming and I need to ride my MTB!

FINALLY my workouts and real life came together. 1:15 EZ ride with the boy scouts. 10.5 miles. Was a blast, so happy to be able to do this during 140.6 training.

Work meetings then flying home from DC.

Stayed awake during property review. It was a workout in and of itself.

Ron...that ride sounds like it was fun!

Rode outside in the evening. 40+ miles, approx 15.6 mi solo then met up with a friend for the rest.

Cheryl (aka cake)
