Friday had a nice flat calm 2 mile ow swim followed by house repairs..
Saturday (today) I had agreed to a group ride of @35 miles. When many dropped out I agreed to add "a hill". We ended up with a 49.85 mile ride with hills "the hill" was a long steady grade that i didn't' even recognize but the new longer distance plus hills plus heat was tiring!
nothing for me on Friday - except some (not too) early morning shopping with DD and cleaning the house...
Sat - 1/2 day skiing at Mt Snow - great conditions for early season
Sun (today) - ~4 miles...legs were feeling the skiing yesterday!
I wanted to go skiing for this holiday but it just wasn't in the cards. My quads are ready (I am a teleskiier) after the cycling hills! I guess I'll be more than ready for my metric century in April? In the meantime my goal is a 50 miler HILLY loop ride out east called the Great Western Loop (home to many road races in the past) Its hot there though and heat is what is bothering me the most!
Back to the weekend, breezy 2 mile ow swim today, took 1 mile to get stretched out then more repairs on the house!
Friday and Saturday were slacking off, doing work on the house and hanging with friends. Sunday i did the Tough Turkey Ten Miler. I think this is the 5th or 6th time I've done the course.. Didn't race, but had a pretty good time.
I'm pretty sure I did something on Friday but I cannot remember what it was for the life of me. I do know I worked and then helped hubster load and deliver the doors he made to his client and then had dinner with friend visiting. She recently moved to Austin. I likely biked.
Saturday: Hung out with Hubster in Newburyport. He was relaxed having finished his last commission and was not yet worries about the installation. leftover fest with friends and some games with them and 2 of their kids. Good times.
Sunday: 1.5 hours on trainer and 30 min on elliptical. Got into Grimm watching fest. Football with LRR and GG. Opted out of going to wake for ex-MIL. Feeling weird about the whole thing.
Turkey Day - I ate stuff, walked the dogs (on the Cape with our friends and their 2 dogs so 3 dogs total yay!)
Fri - dog walks; thought I'd better see if the legs would run at all, they did, slowly, about 2.7 miles
Sat - Run Your Turkey Off 5K in Bourne...ooof...3rd year doing this and my slowest time yet, but new course this year; 26:38 @8:35/mi but not too bad I guess considering I haven't really been running since my HM on Oct 26; 4/12 F40-49, 10/47 all females, 33/88 overall; Tom ran it much faster than I; dog walks
Sun - super long dog walk in the morning; 88 min on the trainer as 22min ("tikaboo") and 60min ("pyramidal") rides on TrainerRoad
