Bike shoes or not...?
I'm debating whether to wear bike shoes or ride in running shoes tomorrow. The race requires me to in/out of bike shoes twice (2 bikes legs). The first legs is like 25 miles and the second is 5 miles. Considering not only changing the shoes, I will have to pack the running shoes and carry them in my backpack while riding the second bike leg. So, do you think riding in bike shoes enables me to ride faster enough to offset the time I would lose?
I'm planning to do some field test but am curious if anybody has done a comparative analysis of bike shoes (clipped in ) vs not.
