What do you all use for Recovery, pre race, or any other type of supplement to your daily routine? I think I'm lacking some stuff, but don't know what I want to try. I'd like some type of Protein shake that I can add to almond milk, with no real flavor, or no real chalky feel. I'd also like something without a lot of crap or sweeteners in it.

My current supplement of choice is UCAN (www.generationucan.com). My coach, who is a geek when it comes to nutrition, turned me onto it. The one thing I like about it is that it does tend to be non-sweet and I do seem to get a long boost in training from it. But it is chalky. They have a version with some protein for recovery. I haven't tried the unflavored version yet.
Recovery I've also used Endurox and simple chocolate milk. Pre-race I find that Ensure is a good option, liquid calories that you can buy at most drug/grocery stores.
