John Wayne, an actor who came to epitomize the American West, is born in Winterset,Iowa (history.com)

Easy day, 45 min spin on the spin bike followed by a 30 min easy run.

Mosey on through the holiday weekend, tri-peeps!

Annual Nubble ride in the books with the Bagelry Bikers - 61 miles in about 3:30 hours riding time. Heat/humidity came in with force ... spent a lot of time at the back, sucking wind :)  Plenty of mechanicals though - not me, thankfully - so rest breaks were plentiful. Nice views - the Maine Coast is very pretty, although most of the ride is inland.

Great weekend all!

Reg.

Sounds Like a wild day ahead of you, Ron! Have fun!

A great day for girls MTB outing! Boy, we liked playing dirty after some rain shower! Four riders joined later by a trail runner went out for a lunch afterwards.
Have a great Memirial weekend!

Pretty easy day to re-introduce the body to training after 5 days off.  Thousand yards in the pool, 23 miles on the bike, 3 miles on the run, all at pretty easy pace.  Run sucked.

Well, I was feeling slackerish that my walk/run ended up being only 2.7 instead of the intended 3 miler. But after seeing all the great workouts here, and especially to see that I did less than half the mileage em did in the water, I feel totally lame. But in a positive, I bow to em's greatness sort of way. :)

Sending positive vibes to Thor on his 50 miler tomorrow!

well, if it makes you feel better, I'm pretty sure I could not walk/run 2.7 miles right now.  :)  I haven't run (or walked for exercise) since mid-March when I sprained my ankle.

Record highs in Cincy this weekend.  First tri of the season for me.  Nothing is posted, yet.  But, it looks like 1:33 for me - which is a 2 minute sprint PR.  Not bad for having a sinus infection and only feeling about 75%.  This really caught up to me on the run.  It felt like someone very heavy was sitting on my chest.  Ugh...
