Ok, dumb me forgot sunscreen on arms on my bike last week. I look like Farmer Dan!   How do you all even it out? I mean, yes, I'm a triathlete, so I expect some dumbass tan lines, but you know, it is REALLY bad.

Of course it is better than the time I forgot it with my helmet.  That was turtlehead.

Part of the reason I run shirtless whenever I can is to minimize the stupid tan lines.  I haven't tried running shortless...yet...

No one wants to see me running shirtless.  I run in tanks but there is a huge difference and without getting sunburned, it's gonna take a while.

Deal with it?  I have quite the impressive "tramp stamp" tan line from low rise shorts and short tri top.  It's my team uniform, so nothing I can do about it.  Son1 has tan lines from his helmet straps.  It's just part of the sport???

Seriously?  THIS is what's bothering you?

Next time you go out, wear a tank with arm warmers and repeat the no sunscreen thing.

I'm with Cake. Whatever. Not something I care about. You should see me right now. You think YOU have it bad. I have that triathlete tan going on really bad. I don't even notice it. I mean, I've had this type of thing for so many years. It's just part of the game. I'm still the same person.

Seems to me that a trip to Florida or Hawaii is required.  Or you could just pretend you're training for the Tour.  Have you ever seen the tan lines on a bicyclist?

For the few times I'm not in tri gear or the like the weird tan lines are a source of pride.  Yes, I'm weird.  Since the tan lines pretty much match my regular clothing choices I don't really see any difference.

my porblem is the goggles and cap tan and a bad harcut, usually my bangs cover the forehead but ever since I had the bad haircut, I've been getting odd stares.  The upper half of my forehead is white and the lower half super tan since I can't really put sunscreen above my goggles.

Stitcher has mastered the high-cap method to keep reasonable forehead tan lines.  I am trying to adopt this for outdoor swims.

but tinted moisturizer is your friend.  I love the philosophy stuff.  evens things out but doesn't look like you're wearing makeup.

I don't think about the tan lines either...I feel the same as MQ - it's a pride/"I do crazy sports" kinda feeling.  I was a bridesmaid in my sister's wedding 2 years ago, and we wore strapless dresses. Looking back at pictures, I had a lovely combination of tan lines from bike jerseys, swim suits, running tanks and of course the sock line. Didn't give it a second thought at the time. :)
