melistic posted this link in the CrossFit thread, but it's too good to hide in there. It's an old thread where Theia and melistic went head-to-head dishing out tougher and tougher plank/core routines.

Check it out!

Seriously? They actually did that? I can't imagine getting myself into that position and staying there for pushups. Wow. That's insane.

it's not day one stitch

they've worked hard for it. Day one is more spiderman handstands or sad looking attemps to handstand against the wall or even wall pushups

( one of my girls that did it this morning is 12 weeks out of a c section, she had a few choice words for me, but she got it done)

Yep. I still haven't mastered it with the bosu yet, but I did start out with the handstand balance against the wall maneuver. Now I can at least do it without using the wall. Maybe in several more weeks I'll get to the bosu.

you'll get it

what kills me: up and over : guys and the girls I don't really have a great place to practice we do mostly the swing under a regular bench kind. which I think are way harder.

Also still hate scaling walls and we just bought rope to hang from the tree. Not looking forward to that either. I'm voting for cheat knots. C says no fair.

Is it terrible that I printed out all of these diabolical workouts to try after baby Sparty arrives?

That's funny. We're getting a rope this week or next to hang outside for our "Outside work" Pull-ups/chin-ups, tractor tire toss and log toss. Shaun says DEFINITELY no cheat knots.

Now I used to be really good at rope climbing in elementary and junior high school. Set an elementary record and a jhs record. I have not done it since hs though...so I'm not sure what to expect in a couple of weeks. It's been......well, it's been a loooong time. I'm really not too worried though, if I could do it so young, and I'm fitter and stronger now, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Right? Right???

Those videos were great. I kept wanting to give "Haile" a boost!

Hmmm....we don't do that one. I think we may even have a piece of equipment indoors of the right height and strength to get it done though. Might have to put a bug in Shaun's ear.

Dear God, what am I saying, I really am a glutton for punishment!

you're ahead of me peaches. I never could get up the thing in school. Would have tried harder I guess if I had know this was waiting for the grown-up me. Would have paid more attention in math too
DD9 can hit the ceiling again and again. At the dojo they quit spotting her.

I tipped over to the side.
Or, I got part way "down" and couldn't get back up, and smashed onto the floor.
It's quite comical.
