Julie I know - lots of rain here over the weekend (thankfully not during yesterday's ride). It's getting depressing!

Grilled portabella mushrooms, sweet potato fries, big salad, cheesy bread.

Quesadillas? I did this last week with leftover steak.....put steak, cheese and red onion on it and served with salsa & guac.

Would someone please come to my house and make beef stew? I know it's summer and all, but some good stew w/crusty bread sounds really lovely...I think we're grilling chicken instead.

No rain here either. Hot and sunny all week I think!

Dinner...leftovers from last night. DH made chicken stirfry with udon noodles and spring rolls. I know it was Father's Day but I was too tired to cook for some reason. Mind you I did do all the prep work and clean up after.

I got some gorgeous strawberries at the farm last night and made a salad with boston lettuce, goat cheese, strawberries and almonds. But the best part was the dressing! I made a strawberry dressing.....tossed strawberries, onion, sugar, cider vinegar and olive oil in the blender (added a touch of worstershire).....it was REALLY good

Flip, you have to explain for all the non-Canadians what you're talking about.

Ask any Canadian who has been out of the country for an extended period what they miss most and "Swiss Chalet" is a common answer! Hobey, next time you're up for the Victoria Marathon, be sure to hit one for lunch.

LOL! I'll be in Victoria again in October. Right now, I think I'm the only person who can enter/exit the US legally in my family since BD & DS just sent off their passports for renewal.

that sounds fantastic! To bad I don't have the onions or the vinegar.... granted that would give me an excuse to go stand in the freezer section of the grocery store.

Aw, I'll be a month early. I leave Friday for Sproat Lake near Port Alberni to hang out at my sister's summer house. I'm only taking one kid with me so it should be ''relaxing''. Where on the island will you be residing? Lots of great triathletes in the Victoria area you could train with!

I'm moving to Victoria!

So, hopefully I will find a good group to train with. It's basically a triathlon mecca because of the weather (well, in Canada).
