If anyone is looking for a July 2009 race in the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire...

Endorfun, the folks who put on Mooseman/Timberman/Lonestar, etc., have a new event for July 09.

check out the site:
http://www.timbermantri.com/blackfly/index.html

3 major events for the weekend: international tri, short course tri, and a bike time trial.

There is also the option to do all 3 events for their "Lord of the Flies" distinction.

It's going to be hard to choose between this new tri and the Powwow (fka Newburyport) Triathlon in Amesbury.

I could have sworn they did a similar race a few years ago up there. And if I remember correctly one of the issues people had were leeches after the swim. ring a bell with anyone? With that being said, could be an choice between this one and PowPow espically since I have a place to stay close to this location.

They did do a similar race a few years ago. I think Waterville Valley fixed their pond/swimming area to make that a better situation.

I would love to do this race but we are on vacation that weekend. Maybe next year. It is such a great area to ride.

I think Waterville Valley was where Mooseman used to be held. You can check out the forums on the Endorfun website for more info.

Also, the international swim is only 0.25 miles.
