Hey root finder,
the report is up in the run and race section. Now it is 2 weeks until my last long race until the fall.

I am close too but I am sure ya'll are faster than me!! I will be starting to train for Chicago soon. I have been on the injured reserve the last couple weeks and hope to be back running soon (maybe this weekend).

I'm "officially" training for two back-to-back 5K's in May (Miles for Moffitt and the Secret Service 5K) but mostly I'm building a base to start training after that for the Jax Marine Corps Half in October.

I would certainly not be opposed to getting together with anyone for some work on a weekend if my pace won't slow everyone else down (right now I'm running about a 10-11mm for up to 3 miles).

Mike,
Let me know if you make it up for the Jax marine Corp Half. I try and run that every year, unless soccer games get in the way.

Orlando here, new to this site (just signed up 2 min ago) and somewhat new to running.. was a sprinter in high school but never did distance, and I just decided that I'm going to run the Disney marathon. =) So we'll see how it goes!

Chicago training is going well. Got 10 miles in this morning. Miles will be increasing soon which means earlier mornings for me to beat the heat. Good luck on your training GottaRun.

Are you guys getting up at the crack of dawn to beat the heat? Evenings are out because of the storms, although I did run in the rain a couple of days ago. It was awesome!

Actually I still run most of my runs at lunch unless I know I have a meeting conflict that day. Then I run in the morning.

I should add that I am only running 4 to 6 miles though. I don't have another long race planned until October when I will be running the Jacksonville Marine Corps 1/2 marathon.

Morning Folks,

Hope everyone is drying out from Fay. We had a little damage on the pool screen, but that's about it.

Just some branches down and some very swampy grass. Maybe by tomorrow it will be dry enough to mow.

Tampa Bay area here. Up running by 5:00 am. No serious rain from any of the storms. Thinking about doing the Clearwater Halfathon in January.

I think that covers all the topics raised in this thread.

Well I made it through Chicago but I think I brought our weather with me! Finished a little short of my goal (10 minutes) and a couple off my PR due to the heat. It was a fun weekend. Up next is the Tower of Terror 13K and then the Jacksonville Half!

Hey guys! I will be around Orlando in December (perhaps 20-26) and I want to do a race if I can find one. Just a 5 or 10k, nothing fancy.

Where can I find one? TIA!
