Cappy, I couldn't help but notice that the pyramid you have above is the older version. The USDA has changed the pyramid a bit in the last year or two, I believe. You can check it out at mypyramid.gov.

Is it okay if we just choose which version we want to follow?

Can someone help me out with what 3 oz of grains might look like in servings?

I understand 5 oz of meat but I don't understand 3 oz of grain. The Canada Health Guide just uses servings.

Help?!?

Your pyramid doesn't have a "Chocolate Group"?

Hey, just wanted to jump in here and note that when you go to the USDA page and get your customized pyramid, there's a link to a PDF file it will create for you that is a daily worksheet. It works really well for our challenge to just print out a bunch of copies of that, then record your food on it daily.

The weight you entered is above the healthy range for your height. i.e. Holy smokes woman.. YOU'RE a FREAKIN FAT COW!

Extra weight can put you at a higher risk for many health problems including type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease. Weight loss is recommended for people with weights similar to yours. Thanks for telling me something I don't already know and am diligently working my buns off to change.
