Looks like everyone is doing great here at KR!

Had some depression come in that pretty well shut down my running for awhile. I am fortunate that Terri and some of my friends recognize it and let me know that I need to see my Doctor. Meds adjusted and and I have been able to gradually get back into my running. It is odd that I have so much to be grateful for, I still have a problem with this.

Got some vibram 5 fingers last month and have been running almost exclusively in them. I love these running shoes (gloves?). They allow a close touch to the earth and free movement of my feet without the pain of stepping on glass and gravel.

Good Runs all!

Larry your post reminded me of what I saw in Boston. My wife and I both saw barefoot runners so at least 2 ran barefoot. And I saw numerous people running in the 5 fingers.

Hi Larry! Glad to see you check in. It's good to have people who care about you enough to get you back on track. You are a lucky man!
SeeBoy wants a pair of those Vibrams for summer running.

Hey Larry, glad to see you again! And yes, glad you've got friends who love and care for you enough to make sure you get help. No sense feeling like that when the world is waiting for you! Have fun in your V5F's and take any good pictures lately?

Larry, no doubt you know the two are unrelated.

I'm just glad that you and your loved ones took the necessary steps to get back on (the barefoot) track.

Awaiting the comeback of velour jumpsuit couture.

Thanks for the replies!

After reading up on the threads, I am really impressed at how well everyone is running...may be getting older but it doesn't appear that way.

Good Runs All,

Larry

Great to see you around, Larry!

I'll second SS's comment. For some of us there is always that undercurrent that we find our ways of keeping at bay. For me, running helps. I'm glad you are finding the support you need!

Hi, Larry! Great to hear from you. So glad you are running. If you have time to read, I highly recommend a book called "Spark". It talks about how closely mind and body are connected, and how exercise really can change your brain. I'm reading it now, and loving every word.

And I want some 5 fingers!!!

Larry! Hello there, my friend. I sometimes pull up your photo account and look at all your awesome photos. i still can't believe you would run with that huge camera, but am glad that you did. Glad that you got help for the depression, I have been there and it is not fun.
