QOD: a new down jacket from LL Bean. I tried it on over the weekend and almost said eff it and brought it home. Instead I asked DH to go buy it for me. Not sure if he will or not.

Gah! Stupid laptop!

I've now tried to post 3 times...and lost my connection at each one.

Anyway, it snowed here this morning but now there's freezing rain. I don't plan to go out again, I guess, so that's fine. I do LOVE having a garage though...my old house didn't even have a driveway, so this is GREAT!

I had fun skating last night! I don't even remember the last time I went. I didn't know it, but rentals are $8 so I'm even more thrilled I went to the used sporting goods store and got some figure skates for $20.

Be safe in the crazy weather today. ((((Hugs)))) to the Duck family.

QOD: a bluray disc player, so I can stream Netflix. I bought myself a down coat the other day and asked my parents if that can be part of my gift too.

I need a tea kettle too, and a bottle opener.

QOD: I am getting snowshoes!!!!! Yeah, my FIL feels no need to suprise me. I got DH a pair for his birthday. I also asked for new sheets and some running clothes. The Office Season 3 and up DVDs, a block for mt tire when it is on my trainer. Nothing exciting. I honestly don't need or want anything so it was hrd to come up with things. But currently I am trying to wrap up my shopping and have gotten zero ideas from my SIL (on my side) and my BIL (on DHs side). So I don't want to torture anyone they way I am being tortured!!

Funny we're talking about lists today. Suddenly Dh is telling me all kinds of things. The one thing he keeps repeating is what I have been planning -before all the hints - to get him for literally MONTHS.

Heh. Good to know he'll be excited about it.

QOD - the one thing I do need relatively soon (a new 'puter - I can see my old 10+ year desktop once rebuilt is starting to strain a bit from newer software) is probably too pricey as a Xmas gift. I'd settle on on a bike overhaul, though if I want to save cash I might want to spend some time learning how to it myself (and probably wreck it in the process heh )

QOD I think I'm getting everything on my wish list! There aren't usually too many surprises under the tree for me. The minute I mention something specific, mom and mil are on it. BIL and future SIL got me a shirt and a purse that I picked out when I was shopping with MIL. I know I have 2 sweaters and 2 turtlenecks coming from mom, a garmin 305 from DH, and a stir fry pan and a foam roller from MIL. She said "what the **** is that for?" but she bought it anyway

Don't believe everything you think

QOD- I wouldn't mind a new digital camera. My current one is bulky and maxes out at 3 megapixels. I would like one that is more compact so I can tote it around with me in my purse and have more fun with it. My brother works for a camera store and can buy stuff a little over cost so my parents could get me a good one on the cheap. If I ever decide I want an SLR, I'll get it myself. That's more than anyone in my large family could ever budget for one person.

Hi everyone! Haven't posted in a while. I have been busy with a bathroom redo. My friends fiance is doing a lot of the work but it's taking forever. You don't realize how much it sucks not to have a toilet until you go without for 4-5 days. I was running to the lowes at 6 am to pee. I think they think I'm moving in. At least I can shower at my mom's house.
Today I am going to get some christmas shopping done and enjoy the sunshine while we have it. Wow, some of you are getting tons of snow! I don't know what to say. Sorry or Yay! I'd like to see a little snow but I don't want to go to work in it.

qod: heart monitor, towels and accessories for the new bathroom (some nice stuff at PB and Restoration Hardware, but that's outlet shopping), slippers from REI, smartwool socks, ipod shuffle for the gym. Someone to pay for the swim clinic I want to start in January or the trainer I'd like to start going to. Too much to ask for? Ah well, I guess I'll come up with the money somehow. Does that help Missy?
