Kp - Whew. It can't be 6 weeks. I have more work to do.

Um.... darnit. i had something else and forgot.

I forgot to say this when I posted about my run last night, but right when I start, I make a right turn onto South Battery Street and I run right at the Coast Guard Station...I'm looking at a big bridge beyond that goes over the Ashley River right there. Last night when I made that right turn, the sun was setting and was just at the top of the span of the bridge, and was this HUGE orange ball...like the whole sky was on fire. It was beautiful...what a great way to start off my run. Wish I had had a camera at that point.

Morning. Well, I didn't want Jill to have to resort to drastic measures so I roused my rump out of bed this morning and ran. Not my best effort but an effort none the less!!! Bard glad you got out last night! And lovely new avatar!!!

Got a long run of 9 and a ride of at least 30 to fit in this weekend. Heaven help me!

Who is racing this weekend?!

Oops...workout stuff. I dunno...I may take today off, and then run tomorrow afternoon after I get off work but before the Kenny Chesney concert.

I could just run tonight after work, but I'm waffling a bit.

Thanks! I didn't know that photo was being taken. I'm sitting on the rocks at Artist's Point in Grand Marais, MN, looking out over Lake Superior. It's a good thinking spot.

5 yesterday in afternoon heat--it wasn't that big of a deal, though because a friend ran with me. Funny how distraction is like magic for me--I actually said "oh, we are done already?" Denial runner. Hmmm.

Today is an easy 3. Tommorrow is....20. <dark organ music plays in background>

oy oyoy oyoyoy.

You can do it, Beaker!!!

Denial runner.

Bard, count me among those who like your new avatar, and that pic you posted last night? Stunning...

You can do 20, Craney...

Good luck Theia!!

Go Crane Go!!! Have a great 20 miler tomorrow!
I agree. Your new avatar is awesome Bard!
Nice rainy run Jill!
(((Kath's elbow)))
Any effort is a good effort Beaker! Way to get out of bed! I may need Jill's get up and run calls!
I love it when you get those beautiful sight moments on a run, Ann. I must say, the evening sky was beautiful here last night, but I did miss the sunset.

Good luck to Theia and Jill, and all the long runners this weekend!

No run for me yesterday, and I'm afraid no run today either. My friggin' back is still hurting. It's starting to get me worried that this weekend's long run (in NYC with Maria and Missy, no less!) will be in jeopardy. Dunno what I can do now other than rest up for the time being and hope it gets better quick...

Good luck Alexis & Jill this weekend!

Good luck PC in your half.

7 last night in a cold rain. This was the first rain run where the rain didn't feel like a nice break from the heat and humidity - my hands were cold for a while! Happy September. This morning, chiro appt.

Good running everybody.

That's right! PC is racing the half in Chicago this weekend, isn't he? Good luck!

By the way, anyone have any races they want to add to the race list? Go look in the Info Spot thread to see the list.

G'morning folks.

The legs get a much-needed rest day today. Arms and core will get some work, though.

Bard - Add me to the list of those approving of your avatar. What a cool photo!

Crane - Piece of cake for you, girlfriend. One mile at a time!

Beakerbabe. Piece of cake for you, too. It's just three little ol' three milers, right? I have the same on tap for Sunday. You finish, I finish. Deal?

Safe runs to all today and this weekend!

I screwed up yesterday, missed giving myself my lunch bolus and it threw my blood sugar off enough that I couldn't get it stabilized enough in time to run after work and before dinner yesterday. So no run yesterday.

Raining incredibly hard here right now. I've got a flight out of Philly tonight and the delays are going to be stacking up. It could make for an adventure tonight.

morning

Seems fitting that this is a dreary morning I hope everyone takes a moment to reflect and remember. And that the sun comes out later -- somehow, I think that would be fitting, too.

Had a good track workout yesterday, and my legs are finally getting a rest day today. I might hit the pool.

Good luck PC, Jill, Theia!

I'll run in the rain. I'll run in the wind. I'll even run in a thunderstorm [if it starts after I've left the house].

But when I wake up, put on The Weather Channel to check the temperature and decide what length of sleeve I'm going to get soaked in, and see "Tornado Warning?"

That, my friends, is a just little bit outside of my comfort zone.

I apologize if I let anyone down.

Morning Gang -

You can do it Crane!

Good luck Theia, Jill, Pacer and Jen (running her coach's HM in Detroit Lakes)! I know that Brandy and Baggs are running a 20 mile race as a MP training run - good luck, that is a challenging course!

I'm running the City of Lakes 25K as a MP training run on Sunday. Thinking of doing a local 5k tomorrow (it will be small; it goes through my neighborhood!)

Good runs and rests to all today.
