Howdy peeps.

I had a nice weekend, and was able to relax some. Plus I got to hang out with Kris E and Jenn Thurs, Fri AND Sat, so that was great. He has a lovely family. His Nanny is a hoot.

I am literally sick to my stomach with dread about going to work today. I need to do something about this. I don't want the big scary job I have.

Have a good one.

Sorry about the dread, Moe. Maybe it's something in the Boston air, 'cause I woke up in a huge panic about nothing at 4:30am. I may grumble about DH from time to time, but he really is a huge source of support for me at times like these, especially when I pepper him with inane questions like "So, does everyone think I'm an a**hole, or just some people?"*

Anywho, I'm up and trying to make the best of things. My boss is actually picking me up this morning because we have offsite meetings and we need to carpool. Tomorrow I leave for Kentucky.

*Sort of the existential dread version of "Do these pants make me look fat?"

In early to get in (4) 10s so I can take Friday off and not lose any pay (1st day of vacation - yippie ). It's going to be a long week b/c I don't have a lot of billable work to keem me busy! Need to get out and do some marketing!
Happy Monday!

Hey Diane, just a little heads up. People who care whether others think they are a**holes or not, generally aren't a**holes because they care about the people around them. I'd be really surprised if anybody thought you were an a**hole. I think you're great.

(((Maureen))) I hate that feeling. Luckily, it goes away for me. I hope it does for you, too.

(((LLkeepthenewspaperhandyberg))) He looks like he's going to be a great friend!

As for me:

Despite the drama on Friday night, I had a great weekend. I took in the Bluesfest on Saturday night with one of the Crazy Ladies(they are slowly coming back to me). What a great fest! 5 huge stages. Lots of diversity. The food was great. The place was clean. I saw a New Orleans Bluesband, some fancy banjo picking, Dweezel Zappa doing Zappa and Steeley Dan. The atmosphere was awesome!

After that I went to a big birthday bash where I met some very interesting people. I had some fun. Life is good.

Diane - I use that variation too...!

LL - cute new family member! You don't already have a dog, right? (We'd have seen the pics, I'm thinking...)

Maureen - sending you vibes...

Ahimsa - I saw your post from yesterday - Timmay invited you guys? Oh, if mom ever finds out...I'm not telling her! Those idiots...

Weirdest problem in a hotel room ever - my room only has hot water. From both taps! So I couldn't take a proper shower because it was too hot. My hair looks frightful.

I also have a bra that squeaks. It's always done that, I wasn't thinking when I threw it in my suitcase yesterday.

Happy Monday all!

Don't hate yourself in the morning. Sleep til noon.

QOD: would you rather be wearing squeaky shoes or a squeaky bra? Discuss.

Noni- I also have a bra that squeaks! Unfortunately, it's the expensive one I have to wear everyday! Sometimes it's fine, but if I notice it, I have to keep from laughing out loud! Sorry about the shower. I would have demanded another room! Once I got stuck having to stay in a hotel in Charlotte because my flight was late and I missed my connection. I had already been travelling by several trains, and then flew from overseas when I got stuck so I hadn't had a shower in like 3 days. Plus all my luggage was checked so I didn't have any stuff with me to even brush my teeth. It was like 1 am and they put me in a wheelchair accessible room which meant the shower was different (I couldn't figure out how to make it work). I made them change me because all I wanted at that point was a shower.... Even though I hadn't slept in 2 days by that point!

Moe- Just some hugs and calming vibes ~~~~(((moe)))~~~~

LL- what a cutie! And the dog ain't bad either (rim shot!)

Well, it's strange to have a whole day ahead of me and not have to decide what to see for the day. I will probably continue cleaning/straightening my apt. I've got mail coming out of my ears. And lots of stuff to iron is waiting on the dining room table!

Hope you all have great Mondays.

I have both (and I always forget why I haven't worn those shoes in so long, till I get to work and off the carpet of my apt...) but I'd prefer the bra. Usually it's quieter and only I can really hear it!

Jill - Cody

Noni - we had a dog a few years ago but DD1 was allergic to it. We chose this bread because the Poodle coat is supposed to help make them hypo-allergic. We had DD1 around him for a while and she was okay - and continues to be so.

Beth -

Good morning everyone. I hope your Monday is a good day. Enjoyed the lake yesterday afternoon. Very relaxing and well needed for sure. Burned a little but nothing bad as I applied sun block multiple times. Saturday was pretty stressful for stupid little reasons so Sunday was a nice counter to that crappy day.

Nothing much to add to that. LL it is always neat to get a new pup. Hope the girls love it. Is it their first puppy?

Well speaking of showers and such, I need to get ready for work. Talk to you all later.

Morning!

Dh about gave me a heart attack this morning. I fired a glaze kiln over night, getting up a few times to turn the temp up.

This morning when I came in from taking the dogs out he says, "Uh, Sweetie? You know the top dial is on high but the bottom 2 are on low, right?"

ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!?!?

"well, maybe I just looked at it wrong. The light wasn't on."

I ran out to check. Whew. All dials are on high as they should be. Thank God.

I wouldn't want to think that my bra and breasts are having a conversation I can't understand.

Mornin' gang!

(((Maureen))) I hope you get this job stuff worked out soon.

Winter, glad your weekend turned out well! Sounds like fun! I love me some live tunes!

Hmm...what else...oh, very cute doggy, LL!

And Rand...your bike sounds neat!

Katholeenie...your poor tummy! I hope you're feeling better now!

Went to see my nephew play soccer yesterday. His team won 2-0 so they were pretty happy. What a hot day, though. I'm glad I wasn't playing!

I'm considering asking to go part time with my new job. I just feel like I'm not busy enough here. And I'd rather spend more time with Lena. Only thing is, can we afford it? And I know I'll get busier here eventually. It's a new position and we're trying to grow the service. I dunno. I don't want them to think I don't want to work here, either.

Oh, I watched some of the Olympic trial stuff. So...it's ok that the hurdles get knocked over? Can they knock every one down and still not get penalized?

rule is you can knock as many over as you want...as long as it is with your trail leg. If you knock 'em over with your lead leg you get DQ'd.
