One of my absolute favorite subjects. Yankee Magazine just named the town just north of me as the best fall foliage town in New England, which got me thinking.
New England winters can suck, but if we can recall the fall, they are easier to get through. Unfortunately, last years autumn was very poor, and this year is shaping up to be much worse. Too hot (30 days over 90* in Hartford so far this year) and too dry. Many trees are turning and dropping leaves already. I hope we get some cooler temps and moderate rainfall for the next month, otherwise the leaves will go from green to brown to down in a day.
Here are some shots from two years ago. I hope to get some shots like these in the next few months.
This was my avatar for a long while.
And just down the street from there:
Great Shots everyone.
I suck at critiquing. I can never find anything wrong with what you guys share.
Down here in Jacksonville, the leaves don't really change. So it is fun to look at these pictures and remember falls in NJ.
Falls in NJ are pretty awesome. Wait for them...I'll post.
Wow! There are some beautimous photographs in here! I don't really have any fall color photos - it's too early here for the trees that do turn and we'll need a nice cold front to help speed things along - something we definitely won't have this week! I have some Fall photos though - so thought I would share.
These are from a fruit stand/pumpkin patch near our home in Jerseydale:
I dint shoot much this fall but here are a couple . . .
Goat Island, Niagara Falls. My subject was actually too far away but i ended up kind of liking the foreground so it werked out
The Lower Gorge Trail. Niagara River, Niagara Falls. Its a little "busy" but i like the colors . . . i think.
