Teriyaki Almonds

· 4 cups blanched almonds (1¼ lbs.)
· ¼ cup butter or margarine
· 2 tbsp. Soy sauce
· 2 tbsp. Sherry
· ¼ to ½ tsp. ground ginger
· Hotter stuff to taste
· Garlic salt / powder

Put almonds in 13" x 9" x 2" pan and toast in preheated 300F oven for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, melt butter in small saucepan. Add soy sauce, sherry, and ginger along with other hot stuff if you'd like and stir to blend. Drink some sherry. Pour the butter mixture over the almonds and put it back in the oven to toast some more, stirring occasionally to get an even coating. Another 15 to 20 minutes should do it. Sprinkle with garlic salt / powder to taste and spread out on paper towel to dry and cool. Have some more sherry while you wait.

Store in a cool place or freeze.

Great for sherry. Actually good for munching on while running or munching on afterwards. Great for sitting there on the couch doing nothing and slinging back a few brewskies too. Heck, you could dispense with the almonds and just have the Sherry.
