As many of you know, I'm going for my major in Anthropology at Texas A&M! WHOOP! This semester I am taking a class on Social and Cultural Anthropology. It's fascinating to learn about the various cultures around the world and how the are similar and different to my own and to others.

My first assignment in this class is to do a cross cultural comparison of one culture versus my own. To do this I will access the "EHRAF" (Human Relations Area Files) database which houses a fabulous collection if information on many of the world's cultures.

Now! How do I choose which culture since I am fascinated by so many of them? I'm thinking I'm going to have to go with a group that is near and dear to my heart and that I hope to one day study even more: The Maya.

I am certain that your success as a runner, and in all things is due more to the strength of your fighting spirit than anything else. Seabee
