I recently got diagnosed with a tibial stress fracture. Per doctor's orders: no running (obviously), intense walking/hiking, elliptical, lower body lifting for the next. Does anyone know where I can find a training/fitness program that incorporates only swimming, water jogging, biking, and upper body lifting? It seems like there's got to be an "on the sidelines" training program out there somewhere to keep the injured in shape. Maybe a triathlon program is what I need - but replace any running with water jogging?
As a side note, in lieu of the half I had planned to do, I'm now considering a aquabike race - just the swim/bike portions of a tri.
