My first ever interval workout! 5x400 at about 1:55 per lap (give or take a second or two), with 400 walk/jog recovery between laps. 1 mile warmup, .75 mile cooldown to bring the total to 4 miles. Also stretched for 10 minutes. Overall points = 18 for team 2.
First After-Work/Before-Dinner run of the Summer Schedule. Took it fairly easy, since this was pretty much the beginning of a re-learning experience for me. Took off a little hot [in a lot of ways] and cranked my first half in a smidge over 4:00 = too quick. I backed it down, and enjoyed the next 20-plus minutes. I did my best to resist the allure of the pace-bunny that LITERALLY dropped in on me [the track is surrounded by a little berm]. Whatever and wherever we go tomorrow evening, I need to remember two words: BUG SPRAY
