I'm not the captain, but I thought I'd get us started here, since AMichel already started one for her team. I don't wanna be left behind.
I'll be running in the morning to get some points on day 1 (yay!) and I've got a couple of races this round (a couple of 5ks and a 15k). I am trying to get back to cross training and weights. VRAA was super motivating for me last year in that regard, so I'm hoping it will be again! I am ready!
Are we gonna come up with a team name?
Thanks for starting this macabeth. Captain rugby reporting for duty. I'm a regular old badass this round and will score primarily through running and playing sports with my kids. Try to come up with a team name and get some rest cause we startin tomorrow, Cowboy Up!
Lemme know if you have any questions.
I'm supposed to score a lot for us. I've been doing an OK job over the winter keeping my training going, but early April is always a busy time at work, so I need to keep focused over the next couple weeks. I'm trying to gear up for triathlon season. First race is May 1.
9.5 mile run today. I cut my bike ride short this morning because I'm having knee issues. Luckily, the knee isn't bothering me when I run, so it probably won't be an issue long term. I think I had the seat a little low on one of my bikes.
So I guess I'm on the team now, yahoo! Just in time too, I'm running a half marathon on Saturday. I'm also running the Ogden Marathon on May 21, so I've got a couple of 20 mile runs on the schedule between now and when the VRAA ends. Hopefully I'll be able to get us back in the running in short order.
Is now the time to reveal that in the last round, maccabeth was my secret nemesis? We kept going back and forth with who had more points. I think you ended up edging me out, maccabeth. Glad to be your teammate this time around. :)
Glad to have you Nadra. Not much running for me this weekend. I did manage to play some baseball and basketball though. Tomorrow I'm heading to Great Wolf Lodge in Sandusky Oh with the family so hopefully I'll get some swimming pts. Good job everyone!
