Am I the only one who keeps reading that as "Lactating Asses"?

I'm here.  For the last year I've had back and hip problems that caused me to miss weeks of running at a time.  Things have been better recently and I've got about a month of "normal" training behind me but I've got a lot of catching up to do for my fall plans:  Reach The Beach Relay in September, planning on running four legs totaling 21 - 27 miles.  Then a marathon on 10/10 that was supposed to be a BQ.  We'll see.

Hey, I didn't ask to be on a masters team!  That's okay, I'll hang with anybody, even old farts.  ;)

I should be good for 40 - 55 MPW.

Sorry, all, for the late check-in.  I'm praecipua which is pronounced pry-kip'-oo-a but all the 30s folks shorten it to prae (pry) and you may certainly do the same.  I've done VRAA in the past, but I'm not much of a participator in the motivation/smack talk.  I will be volunteering at 2 races during this round (this Saturday and Labor Day) but that might be all the bonus I bring to the team.  Also, I may get off to a slow start b/c I'm heading home to visit the parentals and they are excellent energy sucks, so I may (hopefully not) miss a run or two next week.  I'm not a fan of the humidity, but I'm doing my best.

Good luck to all the Asses out there!

Go team go!   I got up early for the RPM challenge class at the gym (1 hour Spin).   I'll try to make that a habit :)

4:15 alarm, 5:15 class.  Next week will be a 4:30 alarm, because there was plenty of room in the class and I didn't need to be that early!

Good Morning Lactic Asses!

I brought my gym bag with me to work, so I'll get in something today.

Eccabex - I noticed over at the daily that you did 10 min of stretching and claimed the 5 bonus points. I thought we had to do 15 minutes of stretching to get the bonus? I hesitate to mention something that is really only worth about 1 point but since the other team already thinks our team is stacked, I don't want anyone calling 'foul' so perhaps we just need some clarification on how much stretching earns the bonus points.

15 minutes of stretching is required in order to claim the bonus!!

Nice Dave! I think if I rode 70 I'd still be out there, what time did you start?

7 AM, just after light.  I averaged 19.5, something under 4 hours including my stops to refill water bottles.
