This idea is not exactly the same as a VRAA, but I'm borrowing the virtual competition used by our local Tri-club during the holidays.
I suggest we could pick teams and and try a "Virtual" competition of some sort here:
Points are awarded as follows ?
- 1 pt. for every 100 yards swum (in or outside)
- 1 pt. for every road mile ridden on the bike
of your choosing
- 1 pt. for every 3 minutes logged on your
bike trainer or in Spinning class
- 4 pts. for every mile walked or run (1 pt for each 1/4
We could add more categories such as one for weighlifting or one for group classes such as yoga/pilates/aerobics.
I wouldn't be against moderating for the first round. We could make the team competition either a fixed time-period (say, one month), or a fixed point total (say, 5,000 or 10,000 pts.)
Basic idea is to have fun and to encourage getting out there for some sort of activity and to participate on a team.
