Some of you may be familiar with an event that was done for a few years over at riff raff called the maintain campaign.

Basically its a way to stay fit and healthy through the holiday's. Team's of three team up and get points for exercising, and participating in the various day's events.

I am working up a calendar and will have it available to post in a couple of days.

I'd like to post a sign up/explanation thread in the next week or so, but I am going make sure everyone here is clear with everything first and will be open for feedback on different ideas.

Once I get my calendar ready, I will make it available to this group to look at.

I will explain more in a little bit, as I have to leave for the office now.

(oh and how do I get my name on the map thingy on the front page)

Hi Cappy! Here is the thread about the chart (is that what you mean?): https://www.kickrunners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12326 The first poster in that thread made it.

Here is a rough draft of the calendar. (let me know if it is viewable, its the first time I am using google documents to share a spreadsheet)

http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?k...slDXVvbQ&hl=en

Here is how the scoring works, beyond each day's points, you get 10 points each day you exercise. Exercise is very broadly defined, and loosely interpreted, I am pretty looking for any activity over 20 minutes.

Each team will also have a Christmas/Holiday themed name, some of the names in the past have been
  • The Three Wise Guy's
  • Ho, Ho, Ho's
  • Winter Runnerland
  • Three French Hen's
I am still tweaking things, and this is a rough draft.

My plan is to start the event the Monday of Thanksgiving week, 19th.

What is nice about this event is that anyone can participate, and the range of calendar events are fun and interesting.

If you have any other suggestions for events, let me know

You'll be building that into our calendar, correct?

I can do it as soon as you give me an idea of the description. We'll set it up as a sub-forum of VRAA? Or would you rather a subforum in the gym area?

A subforum in the VRAA would be fine

Description: A fun and healthy way to stay fit during the holiday season
