Starting weight 143.4

Last week 138.4

This week 137.0

 

Lbs lost this week 1.4

Total  lbs lost 6.4

 

Well I walked or jogged 55 km for that 1.4 pounds, I'll take it, I was really hoping for 2 lbs a week, but a loss is  loss and yesterday I was sitting at .8 so I am happier with the extra .6.

A loss is a loss...that's right!

I've just thought of something else I can do. If I can pry the brand new kayak I just got for DW for Mothers' Day, I can tool around the lake after work for an hour or so.

Wonder how many calories kayaking leisurely on a calm lake burns in an hour. Not much I presume. But, it's better than nothing.

Oh the Kayak is a great idea, completely different muscle group, fresh air, I am jealous!

Well, unless I get crazy, or it gets really windy, I'm not really going to be paddling hard.

But, I have not doubt that my shoulders will hurt tomorrow morning. Even though I *did* go lifting at the gym today.

But, right now, I have to finish mowing the lawn.

So I didn't go nuts, but except for only a few moments, when I got to the ends of the lake, or adjusting something in the "yak", I paddled the whole time. Did the whole length of the lake and back. Took 28 minutes, it's only a little more than 3/4 mile long, so that made the total trip 1.6 miles. There was a little wind coming back.

So, we'll see how my shoulders feel tomorrow.

Figured I burned around 100, 150 calories.

I did not do a good job this weekend watching what I had to eat.  A weird weekend of work and errands etc so I ended up giving up watching what I was eating.

Honestly, I am fine with 181, that is close enough.  I can tell I have lost weight, a lot of my pants fit me better etc etc etc.  I am pretty much going to work on maintaining myself at this weight.

Goal: 160 (or so)

I guess I should be happy that I lost something, but, I have been at 170 since Tuesday (with one morning dipping down to 169). Don't know what that's all about.

I think snacking is an issue.

I have acquired myself a case of shin splints. Which sucks. So I can't run as much. Or, at all.

The shoulders, after the kayacking yesterday don't hurt at all. A mild pain in the forearms. Maybe it will be worse tomorrow, don't know. I won't be on the lake tonight, it's cold and rainy.

Yikes. The crap keeps on coming!

Tomorrow, "principal's breakfast" for my daughter's good grades. Plus a "reception" after a funeral. There is ALWAYS food there. Then, Saturday, another funeral (yeah, it sucks), but, more food. Then, Sunday, Memorial Day party.

Basically I'm pretty much going to try to starve myself all week. Good plan, eh? sad.gif

Well I might be putting the no exercise thing to the test as the area where my foot meets my toes hurts again this morning, even though I didn't walk or jog yesterday.  I am on my feet all day for my job so I think even normal wear and tear is going to bug it, so I am going to stop the extra 5k's for sure, might just do 2.5 to the store if needed, or try to find a deep water aquafit that can fit into my schedule. 

 

Any ideas as to what it is called when there is pain where your foot meets your toes?

End of the school year madness going on right now.   Everything is pizza and ice cream.  End of soccer party, end of school party, pe teacher retirement, etc. Cookouts and hotdogs and chips and beer.  I've been skipping 60% of the bad food offered me, but that's still alot of bad food.  And for some reason, we've had an activity or two every evening.  Swim lessons, soccer kung fu, reading tutoring...so we get home late and hungry and cranky.

 

Can't wait for summer to actually start.

Ran a slow (that's my deal these days) 4 miles today in 80 degree heat. The "real feel" temp was 88.

So far, doing really well this week. But, tomorrow is that funeral, I may try to get out of the luncheon afterwards, and Sunday is a party, which will be loaded with bad food and beer. And, for all I know, someone might have a picnic on Monday too. It wouldn't surprise me.

Gotta keep my head on so I don't ruin this good week.
