I walked 1.5 miles today on the treadmill, ate healthy all day, have a plan for tomorrow.

I don't weigh in until tomorrow, but I am going to have a gain this week. I don't get it. I held at 176 all week (my number from last week), even though I barely ate anything on Thursday (because I had to go to NYC, never got around to eating). Friday, didn't have much because I had to have that eye surgery.

Then, Saturday, went out to dinner with friends. I don't know how one big, and admittedly bad meal, can derail you by so much.

If I can get away with only gaining 2 pounds all week I'll be happy.

But, all the better for next week's loss I guess.

Anyway, we'll see how bad things are tomorrow morning.

I struggled this weekend with my eating also.  To much eating out with my dad and family as we were out and about.

Starting weight 207
Last week 186
This week 186.
Goal: 180. (Used to be 185, but now I will be able to tell when I actually hit my goal! :-D  )

As expected. I can't believe that one day can screw things up so badly. Once again, I was 176 from Sunday through Thursday,

Starting Weight: 204

Last Week: 176
Today: 179
Gain/Loss: +3
Total Loss: -25

Goal: 160 (or so)

Ok, I am off to a good start with a small loss from yesterday.  So far I have planned my food and have stuck to it.  I am about to walk to the store for some basic groceries.  Yippee!!!!  Tech Tee iti s crazy how easy it is to gain.  I bet that you will be down in a couple of days.

I screwed up last week, too.  Up 2 pounds.  I thought it wasn't right, so weighed yesterday and today.  2 pounds.  Dang.

Only a month until swimsuit season.  I need to quit screwing around.

What I don't understand is, "way back when", only 5 years or so ago, when I was thin (and, admitedly running a lot), this would have been a non-event. i would not have gained any weight. It's just messed up.

I dod suspect that yes, I will be back to where I was in a few days, but it doesn't make any sense.

Way back when, if I gained weight, I could go longer one day and maybe lay off the dessert for a couple of days, and be back to where I was.  The older I get, the more my fat gets set in its ways.  Waaaah!

Weighed in this morning, and the two extra pounds are mysteriously gone. Hmm.

To make things totally ridiculous...weighed myself just after dinner. I had gained two today. Just went on a 10 mile bike ride. Still same weight. Thought I would lose a pound sweating, but it's a little cool tonight.

First bike ride of the season. My butt is killing me.

Gotta get a new saddle.

Still hanging in there with healthy food.  went for two walks today that would equal about 5Km.

Do you think a person can eat too much salmon?   I am in love with High Liner Select Pacific Salmon & Dill.

Ask Jeremy Piven. Although I don't think he was eating just salmon.

After the disaster of last week, I seem to be doing well enough this week. Haven't checked yet this morning. And there is still the weekend to go. I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing.

Well crap, that's not what I wanted to hear, oh well, I'll mix it up with some chicken, but I just love that it's 20 minutes in the oven, throw on a salad and some asparagus and it feels so so so healthy without a lot of work.  I don't think those fish pieces are too processed, you can actually see the shape of the fish, not like some that look like a deck of cards with seasoning on it.  It HAS to be better than fast food and a diet that is ground beef heavy.

So Tech how was the scale this morning?  You can keep it up over the weekend, I'm certain of it.

I think you can eat more salmon. Piven went nuts on it, and other fish. At lots of it, and nothing else. And, there are even some who don't believe his claim of mercury poisoning.

As for me and the scale...first day I dropped two pounds. Yesterday I was down to 174, which was awesome. Lowest I've been since Sept 2006. Today, back up to 176. Which is fine. I bet I go down to at least 175 by Monday (the weigh in day). I sure will be trying. It would be nice to even drop more. That Saturday night/Sunday thing was a really anomoly that went away, but it did stall the weight loss for a week.

Anyway, the lesson to be learned is, if you're going to weigh every day, you really can't fret about it. We're in it for the long haul.

Exactly, I do weigh every day but it is only Sunday that counts.  When I was doing the Game-On Diet, I could tell that any white flour product like pasta or bun would always mean a 1 to 2 lb gain the next day.  Knowing that, I am certainly more careful with white flour on Friday and Saturday these days.

I was at an event the other day where people were talking about who much healthier pretzels were than chips, and although they probably are, it's the flour that stalls my weight loss.

This is what you need. They're not bad, but don't taste totally like "normal" pretzels.

I am huge fan of Crunchmaster multi-seed crackers.  Low in fat, gluten free, and yummy.

My weight has been down all week (so far).  It's down more than it oughta be, so I expect it to swing back up by weigh in time.

Ok, weigh in is tomorrow, but I am down  another .6 so I think I am in for a good week.  Menu plan for the week is half done and the grocery shop is tomorrow.  There is something to this two walks a day things, or 10,000 steps.  My 10,000 steps have just been walks though, I am not counting my general walk around.  Though I might wear the pedometer at my retail job, might be interesting how many steps I take at the store for a 4 hour shift.
