Ok, I want to eat more fish, BUT, I really like Salmon and tuna - but usually I can get Haddock or Taliapa cheaper. What can I do with them that is TASTY? I mean, most of the time it is boring, so I'm looking for ideas.'

what do you all do? what is yummy, but also easy?

If you have access to a grill, fish tastes very good grilled. Brush with olive oil, salt & pepper. (Lemon olive oil is also good). You might need a metal basket thingie to keep the fish from breaking up and falling through the grill.

We either make tilapia breaded and baked in the oven (you can use panko or regular bread crumbs), or brush with olive oil and seasonings and pan-fry or grill pan.

I'm sure there are fancier ways to make it, though!

not the best fish cook or fish eater, for that matter but I do know Talapia is just about the hardest fish to jack up and the cheapest to test your 'does this look done or overdone?' cooking skills on

I think haddock is gross.

I like tilapia sprinkled with lemon juice and curry powder, wrapped in foil and baked. It's also good with lemon and oregano or lemon and garlic powder. You could also try squeezing lime juice or orange juice for variety. My dad likes fresh dill with his fish, but I'm not crazy about it.

As I recall, there was a segment on Dirty Jobs where farm raised tilapia were being raised on the poo of another species of fish. Since that episode, we don't eat tilapia here at home.

I always thought tilapia had an odd taste to it.
