Morning kicksters

Runs went well yesterday.  1st was 3 miles in 23:30, did 1.5 miles @ 7 min pace.  2nd was 5 miles in 41:07 w/ our group.

SRD today.  Got some prep work for a fish fry we're having Saturday evening.

5 mile race tomorrow.  Not sure how I'll fair.  Heard the course is kinda tough.  I'm gonna shoot for 7 min miles.  We'll see.  Not an 'A' race, not even a 'B' race.

What's really sad is when waking at 7am is "sleeping in".  Later this afternoon I'll ride to the lake, do a little splish splash, work registration, then ride home.  Tomorrow I'll work the transition area.  See if these ladies can top 9 racks down that we had at the last race.

BBS--good luck racing tomorrow.  Sometimes I think I enjoy those "not even on the radar" races because they don't matter and I can sit back and just enjoy racing.

Morning (just barely) BBS & 4bm. Where's everyone else?

Back to the sauna today after a "less humid" day yesterday where the dew point was "only" 74. I ran at the lake trail anyway last night. 90 degrees at 6:45pm. First mile very easy then 3 at 7:55-ish pace, then cooled it down for 0.5 or so to complete the loop. Sweat was coming out of every pore of my body when I sat down on the grass to stretch afterwards. Still a good run though.

Heat index at around 105 today, so I'll be riding to nowhere indoors. Another mini-brick workout, i.e., with a short 10:00 TM jog at the end.

Nothing.  This week has now been flushed down the toilet.  Mood is darker than a black board with no chalk.

BBS - good luck with the race.  Do they have beer at the finish line?

Hawk - nice weather your having there...

4boysmom - have fun at the races.  Placing any bets?

I know it's an old cliche, but you can cut the atmosphere with a cricket stump

Hi all, we made it to Ohio pretty smoothly.    I got in a 4.6 sweaty miles this morning beforehand.

bbs - nice double, knock out that 5 this weekend!

4boys - hope you had a fun time

Hawk - seems like you are all better, good to see you out there

RA - don't let it get you down, weather for your Wed/Thus was rough but you got it done

kfuller - nice one

zrun--where in Ohio are you?

Now, how the heck did THAT happen?!  Before heading to the race venue I checked radar.  Just had a bad feeling, like a pop up thunderstorm was in order.  Nope.  Nuthin' on radar.  I headed out and ***Boom*** thunderstorm.  Barely made it to the venue before the sky opened up.  Then the sun came out...  Worked registration until it closed.  Heading home and wouldn't you know--ANOTHER pop up!  How does that happen?!
