May 474 -
YTD 2005 -

1 race - Green Bay Marathon - Pacing. I tapered like any marathon which caused my May miles to be lower than I had wanted. I am on track for my goal of 4,800 in 2007.

May total - 185.20 miles
YTD - 760.1 miles

I need to start picking up the pace a bit and do some 200-mile months over the summer.

Not a high mileage month due to racing, but a good one nevertheless. A total of 145 miles, with a HM PR race and a 15k PR race. I am a little low on miles this year but still on track for 2000+.

How do you guys run 200 miles in a month over the summer? Isn't it to hot or do you run in the dead of night?

FB - Move back "Up North"

In the morning - the worst it gets is @ 80F with high humidity (Not often)

Most bad mornings are low 70F with high humidity

Much more often it is 55-60 and not that humid.

Of course we pay the price December - February.

89 miles. Not bad for 5 to 9 weeks post partum. Goal next month is 100 miles.

Also, some stationary bike (40 miles) and pilates (about 8 hours).

Ask your doctor if getting off your ass is right for you.

I either ran or didn't run every day in May and that included intervals and a long run of 23 miles two weeks after Boston and three weeks before another marathon with another BQ and all in all that added up to a lot of miles which put the month somewhere between my highest and lowest for mileage.
