....would prefer...

no more drawings
no more blues discussions/youtube links
lists of anything
strong opinions about controversial topics
no more gay bashing

....from me.

Without those I'd need to be more goofy, agreeable, understanding, charming, fun loving and well more like most of you.

I was always under the opinion it was more fun to have options. You can slap ass with your buddies and kissy poo with with friends then when that got boring go a few rounds with a Brute Is it really important that you surround yourself with others just like you? I prefer variety myself.

If this gets little respond as I think it will, I'll assume things are cool as is.

Don't care either way.

It would be interesting to hear a first-hand account from you though. One of these days you should gather up Mason and take him to a real track meet, like the Pac10 meet happening at Cal today or the Pre meet on July 3 here in Eugene.

Make a road trip to Austin and let OBH take you to see some live music and visit ACL for a show.

Otherwise, it's just your interpretation of someone else's interpretation and that's not all that compelling.

Larry, quite frankly when you say "strong opinions" that about covers it because it is clear you are not interested in discussion or debate because you never, ever answer good points that people put to you. And when you say "gay bashing" you're right there. Bashing of anything is rather sophomoric at best.

You're better than that.

I've been to a ton of meets over the years. Modesto/Fresno/Bakersfield were a annual affair. Saw Valery Borzov at the San Diego Indoor.

Here's a little story...

Houston McTear was one of the fastest (WR 9.0) men in the world when he enrolled at Cerritos JC here in Cali. So there I sat on those hardass bleachers at Ratcliff Stadium in Fresno getting ready for the JC 4x2 relay. The weird thing was that it was as if McTear was just another JC guy. You'd never know one of the truly great sprinters in the world was about to anchor a JC 4x2 relay.

Cutting to the chase (no ****) by the time McTear got the stick he was wayyyyyyy back. No way he could.... Pretty obvious what happened next...huh? As the crowd watched in awe here he came, he was passing sprinters as if they were standing still. With 10 meters to go it was all Houston McTear as the crowd....WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. After the smoke from the blaze had drifted away the PA announcer....

ladies and gentleman.....Houston McTear!

Then there was the time Villanova with Larry James came west to battle San Jose State and Lee Evans. How about the night Steve Williams tied the 9.1 world record? Seeing Tommie Smith run down a 20.3 sprinter Bernie Rivers on another 4x2 anchor was pretty exciting. It has been awhile however. I blame the internet.

It is hard to drive these Cali roads then have people tell me I don't know who the dangerous drivers are. Watch the news/read the paper about all that terrorist activity coming from Islam and then have others.."it's a peaceful religion".....when I know the Koran says it isn't. It's not about "obvious" physical advantages that blacks possess when it comes to running, it's cultural/environmental....or so I'm told. I've always said that being gay isn't...OH MY GOD...I'm just in favor of men acting like men.

I never take a strong stance without doing the homework. I've spent the time. So I am confident I'm on the right side of things. I do doubt I'm going to read something (by someone who hasn't spent the time) changing my mind.

Not so.

If anyone can prove me wrong and all that info I'm aware of is bogus bullshit then do it. Show me the error of my ways. I want to see how anyone can read the Koran and not come away with...."violent!!!!!!!" If anyone can talk to a Cali HP and not come away..."Mexican drivers..ouch!"...I'd love to see it. When a poor country like Nigeria can have a handful of sub10.00 sprinters and all of Asia has...0. Tell me again...why is that? As we all know homosexuality has always taken a beaten....why is that?

Conversation is great Grizz, you just don't tell a Californian about driving California roads, or a football/track freak about black athletes. You listen.

the PRT is not somewhere to drop my morals and ethics and roll in the mud and muck and pretend those I am talking to aren't really people at all and it's alright to treat them like dirt.

So a non California driver is going to tell me.....what? Who do you know who knows more about football/track than myself? If those who..."Islam is a peaceful religion"...did any research at all they'd find out that no it isn't.

Do you disagree with that?

Has it ever crossed your mind that just maybe..........I could be right? Why are you so sure it's me who needs to listen?

Both hands raised and you know why?

A little PM gets your blood roiling.

But then again, boorish behavior becomes you.

Variety is the spice of life. I say be who you want to be and do what you want to do. This is a message board, and I can (and sometimes do) ignore your threads.

You're definitely memorable. Change over to candy canes and bubble gum and you might get along with people more. But who would care about you then? I think it's good for people to be exposed to people from the entire spectrum. It makes the rest of us reconsider our behavior and thought. Carpe diem and whatnot.

I got the point after the first one.

Twice was redundant.

The third time, most definitely, wasn't the charm.
