I realize that jars of peanut butter are OK, but there are peanutish products in a LOT of stuff. We were checking and all of the Powerbars that we have in the pantry contain peanut stuff. I voted for just setting them aside until we can see if they themselves are actually implicated.

Anyone else paying attention to this?

DH was reading me the list of recalled stuff last night. One of them is PB lara bars, which luckily I haven't been able to get yet, or they would have been eaten.

DH is worried, because I eat a fair amount of PB. biggrin.gif But I've been eating from my jar of natural Kroger brand PB for a while now, and I'm not sick. So I'm not throwing it out.

I have just to make sure my favorite peanut butter was not impacted. Just bought two jars of it last night and had some this morning with my oatmeal.

I had a PB lara bar and it was not as stupendous as i thought it would be sad.gif I have some balance bars that have peanut stuff in them, it did not even occur to me. Hmmm. I guess I should get researching. I have been eating my organic natural peanut butter with no problem.

The rumor is that it won't kill us unless we are very old, very young, or have compromised immunity.

But I feel sure that salmonella won't be fun, even if I don't die.

This is a good excuse to lay off the PB stuff (namely PB cups!). biggrin.gif I have a problem.

We had a peanut butter scare in WNY last year, after I ate two huge containers of the very same recalled peanut butter. Nothing. happened.
