I see that Costco is now selling these devices for your home. Heaven help us.

We do have someone at the end of our street that has every inflatible Christmas decoration possible. Their yard is literally jammed with this stuff...doubles of some even. It's all cordoned off by a candy cane fence that flashes on and off.

If I lived across from them their house would burn.

In our town, there is a small dead end street that opens into a cul de sac (sp?) in which every house is like that. During the holidays that road is packed (at least the one time my kids begged me to go down there).

At the start of the street there is a bucket for the vistiting people to donate to help defray the cost of the electricity and decorations.

shock.gif I had never heard of this.

It would be time to go on vacation for the whole month of December!

AS we drove home from the mountains on SUnday we caught a glimpse of a house just off the highway that had these 2 stori inflatable turrets on each corner of their small yard roll_eyes.gifand the rest of the place was stuffed with more inflatables and lights! If there hadn't been an ice storm going on I would have made DH go see it up close!
Amazing... I feel so so... inadequate. I put up a wreath and ONE string of white lights over the front door. (

This is a guys house from my hometown:

He has an enormous yard which he fills with little sheds full of moving figures related to Christmas. There is a different theme every year. You walk through the yard and view the 20ish sheds. They estimate that they have 280,000 lights.
