There are people already lined up at Best Buy in Lakeland Fl. They are waiting for the Friday sales and say the deals they will get is worth missing Thanksgiving. I think they are crazy.

If someone goes crazy and starts shooting those people, I wouldn't blame him/her.

That is nuts.

No deal is worth that. Of course since I have no income, I am not buying much this year. I am just thankful that we had gotten most of our christmas shopping done already.

That is the reason I left my retailing career. I swear to God that if a nuke was heading their way, they'd still stay in line for one last bargain. Frigging walking amoebas.

Rather than stand in line, go online right at midnight. Many (most? All?) of the Black Friday bargains will be available from the comfort of your computer room chair.

No, Im not there but there was something at BB that I wanted. Actually, I am contemplating the online route this year. I don't have the energy to do it for a third year in a row.

That's true. That, and there's lots of old people and British in the area that probably don't do BF. biggrin.gif (Not calling you old or British, Tracy. wink.gif )

I don't get that whole Black Friday nonsense. Honestly, are the deals REALLY that much better at 3AM than at 9?

Here's my rule. If there's something you want to buy as a Christmas gift at Best Buy (or similar establishment), it's been out of stock since Halloween. The only place to find it is Ebay.

Yes, because at 9, they're sold out.
