We have a non-partisan agency administer federal elections and referenda. One system, one set of accountabilities and responsibilities across the country.

It might reduce the number of lawyers circling like vultures over the election results.

No way - Americans can't be in favour of anything - we don't put the letter "u" in where it isn't required.

I don't understand why Europe and Canada can't get this one idea through their heads - we are not you! We don't want to be you!

If we wanted to be Europeans, our ancestors wouldn't have left Europe! Geesh!

Merkuns love brass knuckle politics. This would be a step in the wrong direction.

Well shouldn't a vote in Florida be handled and counted the same way that a vote in Montana is?

That doesn't seem to stop some of us from driving Mercedes (OK - What's the plural of Mercedes? - Mercedeses?) i e. we've seldom turned down a good idea solely based on where it came from - sushi, foreign cars, nude beaches, meddling in other countries' business, whatever.
