Not so much the stupid TRAVIAN thread though.

Nothing at all. I don't know wtf travian is and there are far too many random thoughts to begin to take notice of any of them. They just get in the way of other threads.

It's all about me...duh.

They're gonna break the PRT.

I say complaining to a moderator about the life of a thread is annoying.

I used to be misguided, just like you. There were thousands and thousands of pages and I just avoided the RT thread and I realized just how awesome it really is. Lots of stuff I want to say, but didn't really jibe with non RT PRT threads. It's got something for everybody from lame jokes to gripes to diatribes on assless chaps and uses for Vaseline. How could you hate such a thing?

I've never opened the Travian thread so I can't speak to that, but I have a suspicion that it's stupid and lame.

It's not like someone is making you read it. It doesn't have a bazillion ////// freaky ////// symbols ////// in ////// the ////// title ////// to really piss a person off.

and the thoughts can be quite random.

Well...um...ah....you said it first!

While it can be annoying, I think that the RT thread helps keep too many extra little threads from being introduced, keeping stuff from falling off the page so quickly.

Sometimes I'll just have a little comment or something to make, and I'll jump in there and make it, saving you all from having to see a thread called "****, this Diet Coke is good today!"

I think it's being used by a small group of PRTers as kind of an almost-chat room, actually.

Just my opinion but I don't have a problem with either of them.

I like random thoughts mostly because heck, Xavier Dan started it and he's one of my favorites so to me it's cute that it keeps going and going.

As for Travian, I don't know what it is so I stay out of the thread but so many people seem to be enjoying it, so why get rid of it? It's not hurting anyone.

You do realize that right or wrong, the people who participate in those threads are passionate about them. there is a high likelihood that we're going to post endlessly on this thread defending our decision to post in those two threads. After a year or two some poor schlum is goign to post a "Please make the "please make them go away" thread go away and while you're at it get rid of travian and RT. After about 4-6 years the entire first page will be full of threads begging to make other threads go away.
