The missus spent 15 hours this weekend doing an arrangement, saved it several times.

The application hung last night and when she re-entered the app, the score was gone. Nothing "hidden" in the directory, and the link in the "Recent" folder starts to bring up the app, but doesn't even get to the splash page.

Nothing in the recycle basket.

Try this first: http://www.officerecovery.com/freeundelete/

Download it to a jump drive or floppy. Don't write ANYTHING to the hard drive until after you attempt your recovery.

Just jumping in to reiterate what duckgeek said - don't write to the hard drive if you can avoid it.

Also, if it's lots and lots of hours work, think about what it's worth monetarily, then call a data recovery company and get an estimate, if the freeundelete product doesn't work for you. One thing I can promise you is that the data is still there, and experts can recover it quite easily.
