What a BLAST! A few hundred women showed up for the free Women's day/clinic taught by several pro's. Rode from 9am to 4pm with a great lunch, beers and ruffles! I will let the pictures do the talk!
me going on the log.....(low enough to jump off if you get too nervous and can't ride on it)
Pretty tight turn, harder than it seems
Those boulders looked pretty intimedating....
Loved the pump track! I was smiling ear to ear
This place is huge - hard to capture in a single shot.
The 'GoPro' sign is behind the blue high wall - it is a sharp drop - you can get air very easily on the following bumps
Lots of these fun sections
There were some scary moments for my fellow Girlbikers.. Out of five of us, one fell on a jump and hit right below her eye hard and sprained her thumb. One face planted the ground, got concussion and was taken to an emergency room (she is ok). Another one lost balace on a jump and fell hard in front of my eyes. She recovered quickly and rode some more. Very relieved to know everybody was ok.
I met quite a few girls from PA, NJ, NY, ON Canada. A great place to learn bike handling skills and just a pure fun! I highly recommend it. This Women's Weekend (free!) will be an annual event for us. And I will have to take DH and DS soon - they WILL LOVE IT. It's only 20min away from DH's brother's house.
Anybody wants to join us next Feb?
