2012 Biggest Loser starts tonight!!! - Page 7

Chris got all that food from room service. And the producers. Who were most likely ecstatic for the drama they could include in their show. If Roy truly was asking her to come home, then he's a jerk. Or, acting like a jerk.

Having said that, if she truly is 156 (what she said after she got home), then she did pretty well at home, because she was 172 at the weigh in. Don't know how many weeks it's been since the actual weigh in. Tried to look at weather in Washington, they were outside with light coats, or none at all, but with this year, things have been pretty warm.

What the heck is it with Bob. First off, he's wearing jeans. I mean, there is no "law" saying he has to wear nice clothing, but c'mon. And, him and his high socks he's been wearing this season. Goofy.

All in all, I'm dissapointed, as usual, that Conda didn't go home.

And, as much as I like her, they should have voted out Kim. Because Christine is a mess. But, then again, Kim is going to have a very difficult time staying above the yellow line from now on, as is Mark.

Mark looks like he has zero more weight to lose! I was impressed they did not vote Kim off. Chris, well, she is a train wreck. She put mayo and peanut butter on a cheeseburger? i almost threw up watching that. And I have always thought that her and Roy have a very unhealthy relationship. There is no doubt that he was sincere in asking her to come home. I think they are a Misery Loves Company type of couple. I hope they can change things. As far as Bob's knee socks, i thought they were compression socks or something. Buddy was really funny with the first lady.

As for Chris, the mayo, and the peanut butter, maybe she did think to do that herself, but I would also imagine that she was egged on. I mean, if she's going to eat, I can imagine her just going "all out". She and her husband are indeed train wrecks, I agree.

I believe that almost nothing on this show happens by chance anymore.

Mark is close to having a "normal" BMI, if that means anything. So is Kim. Actually, Kim is closer. Very difficult to lose weight for them. And also difficult for them to win, if you go by total over all percentage of weight loss too.

Jeremy and Buddy have the biggest chance to win because they were bigger to begin with. They need to pick a better mix of contestants specifically for this reason. They need to pick a bunch of people that are all a similar weight, or, rather, pick a bunch of people that if they all get to their goal weight (which, say, is doable in the 20 weeks or so that they do this), that they can all achieve a similar percentage of weight loss. Because, otherwise, it's not fair. (Not that fair has anything to do with this show.)

Otherwise, you get, as in seasons past, people who are proper weight, and you get a winner who is still seriously overweight.

Mark's normal BMI would be at 179 pounds. He is at 196 now. I just checked. Kim *IS* at a normal BMI. And losing more weight could be unhealthy (although she could probably lose 20 more pounds and still be considered "healthy").

It's the show where they all want to quit!!!!!

So will the quitters be able to be on the finale as "at home contestants"?

I didn't see the first 20 minutes. Guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow to see whatever the quitting thing is.

Regarding Conda. OK, I realize she was upset, but to say that Jeremy worked harder than Kim is rude. But, then again, Conda never cornered the market on tact or good taste. If she wants to blame someone, she can blame herself for getting such a good number. That makes about as much sense as blaming Kim for doing well.

Regarding Jeremy, sure, he always pulled big numbers, but that's because he was one of the heaviest there. Take a look at him, he's still 230 pounds. Still has 80 to go.

Don't diss Kim because she lost 15 friggin' pounds! 15!

Also, I missed the beginning, was this in one week? It couldn't have been. All three of them lost numbers that are impossible for one week. 15 pounds? On a woman who has a BMI of 24.something?

We were wondering who started the "strike"? It really appeared that Conda and  Jeremy could have been playing the others to get them to leave?   Was not surprised to see that she and her brother did not leave.  They were guaranteed at least one spot on the final show after the dust settled.  They now have a chance to take the home prize too... but I don't think Jeremy is going to lose that much that fast. He is steady but got a slow start.

It was a pretty weird show... I mean what's fair about this show? However I have often thought, what's to stop the contestants from saying they won't vote someone off as a group in this same way.  But they do all sign the legal waiver to go along with the "game."

Do you think this show will still continue to appeal to the audience? I wonder!

Just watched what I missed.

OK, here's my two cents on the issue. Interesting comment RANH. That Jeremy and Conda created this to get others to leave. Buddy had a chance, Mark probably didn't, because his weight was so close (although I may be wrong there, because Kim pulled that wild number).

Anyway, as much as I detest the stupid twists that happen on this show, it appears that this one is clearly in the contract that they signed. And, for that matter, they have wasted their opportunity, money, time, etc, that someone else out there could have had. I wouldn't be surprised it they get sued. Although, that would look bad for the show.

I know we're only talking about two people, but, it has to cost thousands of dollars, perhaps close to 100 thousand for one of these contestants, with the food, "tuition", room, air fair (they went home, went to Hawaii), insurance, all that stuff.

Having said all that, I bet the producers love it, in reality. It makes for "good" (I use that term loosely) drama.

That's what I was wondering. Someone had to get everyone riled up, because every year they give the people voted off a chance to come back. And it was spelled out in the contract.

Kim looks awesome.

I have tried to play out some of the scenarios as to why people quit, who started the mutiny.

Going back to the week 2 curse when Kim did not know how to gamble and thought that 94 lbs was an atainable goal for week two - she obviously doesn't watch the show so that twist might throw her for a loop.

Conda and Jeremy might have realized that their alias would be in jeopardy if Chism or Ben came back to align with Mark and Buddy.  Can Ben come back?  Did he officially quit or did he just ask to get voted off?

Not voting Kim off last week might have been an indication that aliances were changing and that Mark indeed wants to compete with competitors, how awesome to say that he beet an Olympian in some final challenges, they both have very little to lose so maybe they thought they would get rid of the two that so obviously still have a lot to lose.

I of course think that Conda and Jeremy dreamed it up to get rid of some of their competitors, but I am betting that they felt their days were numbered.

Has there every been a weigh in that Conda hasn't cried?

Twitter was a buzz last night.

(pssss. Emily was the Olympian....)

Yes, every single season sent home peeps come back to compete for a spot back on campus, but generally not for a spot in the finale! i was actually thinking jeremy and conda started it to get people to quit. Shocked that mark and buddy quit so close to the end. yeah they miss their family but ONE MORE WEEK, wtf? i just cannot believe it. Stupid. And holy cow, Kim lost FIFTEEN pounds!!!! I bow to her greatness. Congrats to her and to her winning the car. OMG, i did think Conda said Jeremy and her deserved to be there not kim, i thought i was hearing things. eek. what a bitch.

Last season everyone came back to run the marathon; winner was guaranteed a spot in the Final Four.  Remember?

I have been half watching this year because Conda is so completely detestable.  What a waste of human flesh. I feel sorry for her daughter.

Does anyone else read Television without Pity?   You have to read the BL recaps.  They usually make me spit water onto my keyboard!  http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com/show/the-biggest-loser-1/season-13-episode-16.php

You are correct! And, again, as much as I despise this practice, it was clearly (or, we are led to believe by what we saw in the show) in the contract.

ah, i did not watch the last season.

They have "The Biggest Loser Marathon" each year, but I'm wondering when they'll have it this year. I'm assuming that the winner of that (if it's someone who was sent home) gets to be in the "final four".

Whoops, I thought both Kim and Emily were Olympians.  I thought at the beginning Bob said there were two Olympians.

Aha, that's it, maybe I knew that Emily was an Olympian, and he said she was a professional athlete, or wrestler and I just jumped to Olympian.

Wait. What? Why did Mark and Buddy just up and walk off?
I simply can't watch anymore, because Conda and her perpetually-horny brother make me want to toss my tv out a window. mad.gif

And Kim losing 15 pounds this late in the game made me stop and go " hhhmmm"
Rigged numbers?
Starving herself?
Bulimic rituals?
Dehydration?

Wow...if it is the real deal....wow...She DOES look amazing. rolleyes.gif

I think that her big number (and, recall, Conda and Jeremy had big numbers too), is because it was more than a week. I have heard that sometimes the term "week" is thrown around loosely.
Ugh. I am so sick of Conda and Jeremy.

I don't even care if either of them win. They really ruined this season for me.

you and me both! Kim better win this thing!!!! Jeremy and Conda are entitled little brats. Ugh. So sickening. I was really rooting for mike to win that challenge so Jeremy could go cry all the way home. I wanted Emily back of course, but she totally sucked at the run. no marathon this season? as much as i hated that they did one, i loved it!

So, who's in the finale next week?

I haven't watched many episodes, and am easily confused. rolleyes.gif
post #174 of 194

WTPJ - The three finalists are Kim, Conda and Jeremy.  icon_puke_r.gif

I don't really like any of the three, but I'd like to see Kim take it all over the other two brats.

That was quite possibly the most boring episode of the season.

thnx, shadow

I'm pulling for Kim. No reason other than to beat the socks off the other two.

The producers' emails must be flooded with "WTF" comments on Jeremy and Conda.
