ESB Thursday Check In

Thread Starter

I haven't been able to run since last Friday.  Too many things going on.

Just got back from today's run.  WOOHOO!! Hit the big 5 miler!  This is a PR since I got back from the sand box.  Was only expecting to do 4 but the run felt so great and the weather was perfect.  I just kept going.  I could have done more, but know from experience to call it quits.  Too much of a gain will cause injury.  Actually, jumping to 5 wasn't the wisest idea.  Hopefully it won't amount to much.  We'll see how it goes on my run on Saturday.

Marijoel, how are things?

Bosco, you figuring things out yet with your shin splints?

Gentlemen, you don't need to wait for me to post the daily threads.  Go right ahead and keep it going.

I went to the doctors today because I couldn't take the pain of running anymore. I got an xray bones came up perfect but the doctor thinks its Chronic Compartment Syndrome. website above will explain what it is. I go for an MRI Wednesday and a Pressure Test. If I have it the doctor said it can cause muscle damage and nerve damage if it doesn't get fixed. If the tests comes up I have it, I probably will have to get surgery .
