Olbermann's take

Yeah, I dislike strident pundits of any stripe.  But in this article/message he makes some really interesting points and apologizes for ever using violent imagery himself.  He says it is time to repudiate all of the rhetoric.

"Violence, or the threat of violence, has no place in our Democracy, and I apologize for and repudiate any act or any thing in my past that may have even inadvertently encouraged violence. Because for whatever else each of us may be, we all are Americans."

And to think I was just about to defriend him.

That sort of friending bothers me, but I am a Luddite.  In musical circles because I have a couple of "connected" real life friends I am getting "People You May Know" suggestions for performers and politicians.  Uh, no thanks.

So I guess defriending a famous person whom you know of but they don't know you is okay.  It's not like he's a real friend, right?  :)

I doubt that he'd notice, but then again...

I defriended the entire facebook community.

I wish I would have, but if I thought defriending my brother was bad, defriending my mom would be catastrophic.  I still get family grief over not accepting their relationship requests.  Why give marketers more info?  I know you're related to me.

I only accept as friends people I specifically know.  Any  requests from people I don't know or who fail to point out to me why I know them I disregard.  I refuse all rquests from co-workers and upon a request from them politely inform them no.  Only one co-worker has been upset with me over that.
