The Green Silence is a really fun shoe to race in. It's got a minimalist design not unlike the Nike Free but still has a very nice ride. The environmental dimension - it's made from mostly recycled materials - adds a definite coolness factor as well especially for someone like me who is strongly committed to environmental issues and reducing my own personal impact on the earth. Still though I wouldn't recommend these unless they delivered good racing performance, and they do. The Green Silence has quickly become my go-to racing flat for any distance 10k and below.
