Just thought id ask an opinion about what you all thought about the Champion c9 product line. I never really looked at any of there gear until yesterday while at a Target. I was thinking of maybe trying out a pair of their running shorts and a tech shirt. ANy thoughts? Thanks

In my opinion, their men's line is made better than the women's. My husband has some pretty good c9 shorts and shirts from Target. Good prices, too, so it's a good value.

The women's stuff fits me funny, but I have a hunch that's my fault, not theirs. wink.gif

i have a few pair of the running shorts.
they are nice. the only negative thing I can say is the material is thicker than that used in my nike and adidas shorts, which makes them feel a little warmer in the crotch area, but maybe some people like that. But I can't tell a difference once I am 10 minutes into a run.

I have a couple technical tanks and they are great. You can't beat the price.

Good Stuff

Frankie - I have two singlets (tanks), one sleevless shirt, one "under armour style" compression shirt, and two pairs of shorts from the C9 line available at the big red bullseye store you speak of...

I'm very happy with the way all of it has held up, and feels. One pair of shorts is probably almost 3 years old, and has held up well. The liner is starting to go, but it will get me through this summer I'm sure. I haven't worked one of the singlets into my rotation yet, but the one that I do use works well. In fact I wore that and my newest pair of shorts in tonights 5k. I don't think you can beat the price (except for maybe some deals at Marshals or at an Expo).

I've worn the shorts on runs up to 20 milers with little or no problems (chaffing wise).

The only thing I'd be a little careful with are the socks. They looked a little too cotton-y (is that a real word wink.gif) for my liking.

I haven't had luck with their shorts. The material of the pairs I have is too stiff and crinkly to be comfortable. You shouldn't even notice a good pair of shorts.

I have a few tanks I like, but have also bought some I really don't like (material feels weird or gets see-through). I get sucked in by the prices but would really do better to buy fewer items of better quality.

However, I like the seamless bras and *cough* lightly padded "shaping" sports bras surprised.gif, but I am a super low-maintenance sports bra girl, no special needs or anything.
Have faith in you and the things you do.

I have 5 pairs of the shorts, 1 tech T, two sleeveless, and one winter half zip jersey. All of it works great for me and most of it I bought on clearance. I know I paid $9.99 for my two oldest pairs of shorts and they are still holding up fine.

I too have found good deals on tech clothes at Marshalls and TJ Maxx, but it's hit or miss if they will have something that I like in my size.

Good luck with clothes shopping.

I really like their stuff. Then again I buy the sports bras and ladies shorts so I am sure my opinion doesn't help you much at all Frankie. *grin*

Frankie - have some of it but not my favorite. The shirts seem to be cut wrong in the shoulders for me, and have REALLY short sleeves.

love, love the seamless bra...last like forever, never a chafe....wish they'd come in designs...solids, don't distract real well biggrin.gif

love, love the undies...not many targets carry though sad.gif

the shorts...??? might be me but if the liner fits okay, the short itself feels constictrive, If I size up I feel like I'm wearing bloomers.

biking shorts, fit good, a little short though

tops......too fitted. But I'm probably used to wearing baggy men's tops

thats the only brand of runing/workout clothes that i have. i love them and havent had any problems with anything except one pair of shorts...i think one of the seams on the leg is cut funny. if i run for more than 30 min i get some serious chaffing on my thigh.

and the prices are great! i tend to wait untill stuff goes on clearance before i buy. i just got two sports bras for 4.99 each!!

I found the c9 compression shorts a bit tight compared to the MEC ones I wear. The singlet I bought is excellent. I really like the target ultralight coolmax running socks for summer runs. They're so thin its almost like running sockless, yet I've never had a blister.

The "seamless" bras chafe me, right on the chest! sad.gif I end up with a red shape U on my chest where the seam is (if I wear them on long runs and don't put Body Glide or Vaseline there).

I wear their seamless bras all of the time. No chafing and so comfortable. I wear a sm/med to get extra compression too.

Frankie:

I just picked up my first tech shirt from there this week. It is a heavier material than the others I have. I have it on my dresser to go back though, just size. I usually just grab a small, but it this one was like holy-batman body-paint tight. So I'd either try on there or maybe go up a size. Just a thought.

My C9 shorts tend to be my favorite pair at the moment. I think I'll more than likely wear the out! I wish I would have bought more than one pair, I'll have to invest in some more.
