Maria is interested in something like this, but she's just a kid and won't be 40 for a while. So I don't know if we can bill this as a "40th birthday" thing. "The 30's Ultra"??
I like this idea. Are enough people seriously interested?
I feel like such an ancient dude here (maybe joining this group at 39.5 yo explains that) but I think a group run or relay would be pretty fun.
Off the top of my head (current geographical locations being considered), start I-5 in Seattle down thru Eugene take a detour on I-505 toward my area, head down I-80/US-101 back to I-5 to pick up kj, head out to the AZ peeps on I-10, do a sort of loop-de-loop on I-17/I-40/US-93/I-15 through SLC and then back on I-80 towards the midwest (yeah, I'm a big road geek)
Hmmm...I think we'll need a tank of hummus and pita chips for this one

We seem to be veering away from an ultramarathon into a road trip...

I took today off. Didn't get a chance to visit the treatment center and talk to them about the tape. Econo made me a van captain for our Cascades Lakes relay next weekend! Oooooh, the pressure!
Moonie, you'll always be a young man to me!
Maples, you're kicking ass. Great work. Keep with it and pack a lunch to those football games to avoid the press buffet. That always kills me because I have a hard time saying no to free food!
Missy, too unpredictable. Results can't be extrapolated from family to family.
Good luck on everyone's Voodoo runs tomorrow or this weekend. I'm expecting to shed a tear or two myself. Came very, very close to doing so last Sunday during the race.
