Sports Bras

I ordered two new sports bras from Title 9. I have the Frog bra, but it is not wicking and that drives me nuts. I ordered the three reasons bra and the trilogy bra. Hopefully they come by my race next week to try out. I think most of title 9's clothes are way overprices, but they have the best bra selection/descriptions, etc.

The three reasons bra is actually the Moving Comfort Fiona bra, which is my current favorite. I buy it on the cheap at campmor.com.

I think you'll like it.

They also carry it at Dick's sporting goods, but I don't see it on their online store.

Is the Fiona Bra the one with the adjustable straps? If so it's the one I have that I like, either that or the Maia (did I spell that right?). Whichever one has the adjustable straps. That and the Enell which makes sure nothing moves At. All.

The Jockey and Champion bras I have are ok for runs of 5 miles or less. Anything more and there is major chafing of delicate booby bits where the scoop of the bra rests.

The fiona has the adjustable straps, which is what I love about it. It's exactly what I need, since I have a short torso.

I have one of each, and I didn't like the underwire in the Maia, or whateverthehell it's called. It was uncomfortable on me, poked after a while of running. Of course, you don't know that until you sweat in it. rolleyes.gif

I originally had maias, and thought they were great till I tried the fiona.

They were fine on short runs, but not so much on longer runs.

So, I wore the 3 reasons/Fiona bra over the weekend. It felt great and supportive, but the place where you adjust the straps rubbed my collar bone and the latch on the back could be a potential problem in the future. Prior to running i thought the fit was stellar. I am wondering if i could wear another bra under it to prevent chaffing/rubbing. Boohoo. This will be a bra for stairstepping or the elliptical now.

Re: Sports Bras

I'm just a guy, but why do they have bra's names based on the number 3?

Re: Sports Bras

because you asked:

3 Reasons Support Bra
As far as we can tell, there are at least 3 reasons to buy this bra: First, the adjustable straps and back closure make this our most customizable bra, which translates to a better fit for you. 2nd: the super support this bra offers will keep D and DD cups from bouncing, even in high impact activity. 3rd: this bra will keep you cool and dry, with wicking fabrics throughout.

The hooks in the back worried me, but haven't caused any problems for me yet. Maybe your back is flatter than mine? biggrin.gif

The straps leave indents on me, but I bodyglide under them and haven't had any issues. (yet)

Sorry it didn't work out for you. sad.gif

it was the velcro area that annoyed me. It felt great when i was not running! i will still use it, just not for long distance running.

I also wear the Fiona (and love it). I use a bit of Body Glide where the strap fastens to the velcro.
It helps.

QN, Dude, or 1 for those transitioning. I can wear the Fiona and the champion but the Enell is the very best one to wear for larger loads. When I said nothing moves, I meant nothing. moves.

meri, have you tried one yet?

no, i have not. Looks like way too much stuff on there that could possibly chaffe, no? I am going to try a CW-X one this weekend though. Either the bra feels great and supportive and chaffs/rubs OR it is fine, but no support.

Well, I don't run far enough yet to make a really good case for them, but I think the main thing is that since nothing moves, nothing chafes. I haven't had a problem with my arms chafing with anything (not that you mentioned it, but some others have at other times with other bras.)

I'd even let you try one of mine if our sizes are compatible. If you want to know what Enell size you are, and their sizes are completely different from regular bras, check their website www.enell.com

I can see the Fiona chafing with the straps, where the adjustable fastening part meets the strap, I'd say.

The enell straps don't move either. In fact, when I first tried it, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get enough air. That never was a problem, but I was definitely worried to start. It's like a straight-jacket for boobies smile.gif

I am so mystified by the strap-chafing on the Fiona. I never get chafing there, not even when I've been in the rain. sad.gif

Well, I haven't had any chafing with it yet, but I remember thinking it was possible when I put it on. However, it's quite soft material and I've only worn it for two runs so far, and they weren't very long. If it's anything 6+ miles or more I opt for the enell. I haven't been caught out with it waiting to be washed yet. Also, the clasp at the back did have a very tiny bit of rubbing on my back on one of the runs. I don't think it was the actual clasp but the part that extends past the clasp where it presses against ones back fat (if one has any, and I think I do smile.gif )
