I only use a couple.

www.roadrunnersports.com - a bit pricey, but I've had good luck with their products so far.
www.eastbay.com - mainly for running shoes.
www.rei.com - for things like headlamps, energy gels, Camelbaks, etc.

Has anyone tried these

I've heard good things about: www.holabirdsports.com , but I've never ordered from them.

And the prices at www.kellysrunningwarehouse.com seem great if you can find your size. But again, I have never ordered from them.

So far, I've purchased all mine at the local running store. I get a good deal and they usually beat the online prices at places like roadrunner sports, etc.

Re: Has anyone tried these

I've ordered from Holabird several times and they have very good service. I'd prefer to buy at the local running store, but Holabird is $20 cheaper per pair on my shoes. Usually I compromise and get my first pair of any new model at the local store so I can try them out, then order subsequent pairs online. I try to get all my other gear....GU's, Bodyglide, etc...locally.

I used to shop online at RoadRunnerSports becuase shipping is free, but they have two stores locally that are shipping centers, so anything in their catalog I can get at their stores. Their name brand stuff is great quality and cheaper than most popular brands.

www.zombierunner.com just became my VERY FAVORITE online store... I emailed them to ask why they didn't have RaceReady shorts in my size, and I got an email back saying that they were going to order some, and then another email to tell me when they were available on the web site, with a coupon code for me to save money! That's some excellent customer service.

I love holabirdsports.com

I just ordered from here: http://www.runningwarehouse.com/fpm.html?coup=TWDISC20 you can't beat 20% off and free shipping (fedex btw). Doesn't look like he carries alot of inventory. I have no idea, how long he'll honor the 20%

Re: Has anyone tried these

Me too. Once I found shoes that really worked for me, the cheapster took over and I ordered repeat pairs from Holabird. They're the cheapest I've found, although www.nationalrunningcenter.com has good sales too.

When I ran, I liked to shop at National Running Center. They were sort of local, and were always at the local expo's. They always had great deals at the expo's I was at.

Most of the clothes and socks that I bought 5-6 years ago, I still use today, save for the running tights, which I gave away.

This is not directly responsive to your question.

I really like and appreciate the folks at www.sub4usa.com.

They have only recently (say last 6-12 months) opened a website. In my mind, it needs work. That said, you can find them at expos at bigger races. They seem to have a good variety of stuff and are extremely friendly. For example, they have caps (not exactly baseball caps, but you get the idea) made of moisture wicking material that I have not been able to find elsewhere. They also have a variety of colors of technical shirts, though you wouldn't necessarily know that from their website. If you see them at an expo (they won't have a sign so you'll have to find them), they are well worth your time IMHO.

Cheers,
Billy

No, they do not.

But what you need to do is catch the spring sale. They do this crazy warehouse thing with boxes of their stuff. You dig thru and get great deals! I don't think they've held it this year yet... If I hear about it, I'll let you know!

thank you, thank you, thank you!

I've been looking for a place that has my discontinued shoe in my size, and they are the only ones that I've come across in the past few days that has it.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! (in case I haven't said it before!)
