Help me out if you can.

I am looking at starting up my running again Jan 1. I am coming off of a pelvic stress fracture. I have an idea that maybe wearing some CW-X tights (either the Stabilyx or Pro ones) may keep things a bit more stable and inline.

Does anyone wear these type of tights? Any recommendations on which is better?

Thanks

I have two pair - not quite sure which ones they are. But let me tell you - getting them on is a bitch! I swear I have to lay on the floor and shimmy into them, like tight jeans from the '70s...

and if they aren't "work" to get on then they are too big. Both DH and I complained that the crotch droop. I tend to buy things too big and that's fine with sweatpants, not tights.

I ran this morning for my first time tights and they were the insulator version. They were really comfortable and felt great! I definately felt the knee support it has. It was around 32 degrees, tomorrow morn. is supposed to be around 15, we'll see how warm I feel during that!

I have a pair, not sure which ones, but the compression is really tight around the calves. I really like them, they are warm and seem to hold tight. Its like been enveloped in a really large hug! Pricey but I have NOT regretted buying them.

Loving mine so far. Not sure they are helping all that much, but psychologically they are doing the trick!

In the newest Marathon & Beyond magazine, there is an article with a guy who won an ultra every year for 19 years in a row. Eric Clifton (?, I'm guessing from memory and too lazy to google). Anyway, he made a couple of comments that suggest (and the pics of him bear out) that tights can make a positive difference.

But the big question is, do they lift separate and support you?

They sound interesting, and perhaps now is the time to look for sales on these items.
